In April 2021, Sergey Tsyb left the Ministry of Industry and Trade, where he served as first deputy minister.

Appointment to the post of State Secretary of Rostec

On May 13, 2021, Rostec announced the transfer of Sergei Tsyb to a state corporation, in which the former First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade will oversee issues of interaction with state authorities and improving legislation. The corresponding order was signed by Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov.

Sergey Tsyb, deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, who oversaw the medical industry, moved to Rostec

Before moving to Rostec, Sergey Tsyb worked as first deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In the department, he oversaw the state program for the development of the pharmaceutical and medical industries. Before joining the department, he held senior positions in private companies in the health sector.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin relieved Tsyba from the post of first deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in April 2021 in connection with his transfer to another job. In his place, he appointed the deputy head of the ministry Vasily Osmakov.

Then Interfax sources claimed that Tsyb would be engaged in Rostec programs in the field of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and health care. The press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in April 2021 reported that the official duties of the first deputy minister will include the formation and implementation of state policy in the pharmaceutical industry and the medical industry, as well as licensing the production of medicines. The first deputy head of the ministry will coordinate the work of other deputies for the planning, implementation and budgetary support of state programs of the ministry.[1]
