Russian University of Economics (REU) named after G.V. Plekhanov

Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov (REU named after G.V. Plekhanov) dates back to 1907. Currently, the University has 30 branches in Russia and the CIS countries, implements 170 main educational programs for the training of bachelors, specialists and masters. Over 64 thousand students study at the University, more than 5 thousand teachers work.

The university implements educational programs in the following areas: economics, management, political science, law, applied mathematics and computer science, business informatics, advertising and public relations, state and municipal administration, personnel management, trade, commodity science, technological machines and equipment, product technology and catering, tourism and hospitality.

The University has established and operates scientific schools and centers, whose employees are actively involved in solving the fundamental and applied problems of the socio-economic and scientific and technical development of Russia.

History

2022: Launch of the educational program for working with the application package "MyOffice"

The company MyOffice on December 1, 2022 announced the expansion of the network of educational partners: the certificate authorizations was received by Russian the University of Economics named after Plekhanov (REU named after Plekhanov). For students and third-party students, the university launches an additional professional advanced training program for working with the domestic office - " ON Package of office applications MyOffice in professional activities."

The educational program was compiled taking into account the specifics of the work of specialists in the field of finance and economics. For example, a separate block of the course is devoted to the use of spreadsheets, formulas, data analysis tools, as well as the creation, editing and formatting of charts in the MyOffice Table program. The course participants will also get acquainted with the rules of working in a text editor, learn how to manage working time using an electronic calendar and conduct business correspondence in a modern corporate postal system.

The training is designed for 16 academic hours. Upon successful completion of the final certification, the student is issued a certificate of advanced training of the PRUE named after G.V. Plekhanov.

The task of our university is to transfer current knowledge to students and develop their demanded competencies. That is why in the context of a large-scale transition of companies and organizations in Russia to domestic IT solutions, we are launching a course aimed at developing skills to work with Russian office software MyOffice. Rector Viktor Grishin left his post

In August 2020, the rector of the Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov Viktor Grishin left his post.

"Yes, indeed, I quit," he confirmed, specifying that he did it of his own free will. Grishin stressed that he is almost 70 years old, and he does not yet know whether he will work somewhere.

4.5 billion rubles were allocated for the construction of an IT center on the territory of the Plekhanov PRUE

The winner of the tender for the construction of the building of digital and information technologies at the university became known. The contractor was the company "Construction Company" Flan-M. "

The initial cost of the state contract amounted to 3.11 billion rubles. Another company, Monolithic Construction Administration-1, participated in the auction, offering 3.09 billion rubles for the work. The same price was offered by the winner of the tender. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for March 2023.

Financing for the construction of the IT center was provided for by the Decree of the Government of Russia, signed in July 2019. Then the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation concluded an agreement with the university on the provision of a subsidy in the amount of 2.97 billion rubles for construction for the period from 2019 to 2021. Another 1.5 billion rubles will be allocated by the university from extrabudgetary sources.

2017: Opening of the SAP Next-Gen Lab Center

On September 8, 2017, the Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov held the grand opening of the SAP Next-Gen Lab Innovation Center, created on the initiative and with the support of SAP CIS (SAP Education CIS Training Center). The main function of SAP Next-Gen Lab is student practice, learning SAP technologies, solving problems that are relevant for SAP customers and basic enterprises of the university.

2015: MESI Accession

In 2015, the REU named after G.V. Plekhanov and the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI) merged.

2012: Accession of the University of Trade and Economics

On December 21, 2012, in connection with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Russian State University of Trade and Economics was introduced into the REU named after G.V. Plekhanov.

2010: Renaming to Russian University of Economics

On July 17, 2010, the Academy was awarded university status: by Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 883 of August 26, 2010, the Russian Academy of Sciences named after G.V. Plekhanov was officially renamed the Russian University of Economics.

1991: Renaming to Russian Economic Academy and creation of REA-Bank

On August 13, 1991, by the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR, the G.V. Plekhanov Ministry of Economic Development received the status of an academy and a new name - the G.V. Plekhanov Russian Economic Academy.

In the same 1991, the first Russian Central Russian Universal Exchange was opened in the building of the first educational building, and its own REA Bank was organized. Current training programs adapted to the needs of the emerging market economy were rapidly created.
