Biography

Alexey graduated from St. Petersburg State University and received a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD Business School.

He is a member of the Association of Certified Certified Accountants and has a CFA qualification - Financial Markets Analyst for Standards of the International Non-Profit Association of Financial Market Professionals.

Alexey began his career as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Bain & Co.

From 2008 to 2012, he was a regional manager at Alpcot Capital Management, an emerging market asset manager, and worked as CFO at Alpcot Group's Agrokultura.

He worked as financial director of the Russian Standard group of companies, a holding company investing in banking and insurance.

He served as Deputy General Director at the Russian Fisheries Company.

2021: Qiwi Group CFO

On November 2, 2021, QIWI announced the appointment of Alexei Maschenkov to the post of financial director of the QIWI group from November 8, 2021.

Alexey will be responsible for all issues related to the Company's financial activities, investments, strategy, capital allocation, and mergers and acquisitions. Alexey will assume the authority of Elena Nikonova, Acting Chief Financial Officer, and will report directly to the Group's CEO Andrey Protopopov. Elena will continue to work as Deputy CFO for Corporate Finance.
