2021: Launch of production of domestic tablets and scanners for barcode reading

In Moscow, with the support of the FRP, the production of domestic tablets and scanners for reading barcodes was launched. This was announced by the FRP on November 10, 2021.

EKR Symbol organized a serial production of equipment for applying and machine reading barcodes on various products in Moscow. The creation of this production was made possible thanks to a preferential loan from the Industrial Development Fund in the amount of 273 million rubles under the Components program. Total investments in the project exceeded 400 million rubles. Marking equipment will be used, including within the framework of the national Fair Sign marking system, which was created with the support of ВЭБ.РФ.

The company has established the production of automated marking machines, scanners, data collection terminals and tablets with a reading module. Production is 1,500 scanners, 300 tablets and 300 terminals per month.

Readers are designed both for internal traceability and for outdoor operation, for example, during infrastructure control. Especially for severe weather conditions, tablet displays have increased brightness and a resistive touch panel for working in gloves, and the case is protected from dust and moisture.

The equipment uses its own development software "EKR" Symbol ": an automated identification, traceability and analytics system (ASIPA) and system marking control (MSA) for tracking parts in production.

To mark products, the company developed and patented an original direct labeling method using a fluorescent composition. Such marking provides reliable reading of information from products of various surface shapes, has high contrast, resistance to external influences, and is also a verifier of authenticity of products. This technology has no analogues in Russia and the world.

The support of the Industrial Development Fund made it possible to develop, prepare and establish domestic mass production of equipment for the development of the Russian economy as part of the task of import substitution.
