ATOL launched a comprehensive solution for reading QR codes about vaccination on November 29, 2021. The main difference of the solution is the presence of a special Android application developed by the ATOL team, which allows you to read code using the scanning module of the device, and not the camera. Previously available third-party applications exclusively used the camera, which reduced the speed and quality of scanning.

The scanning module not only acts faster, but also allows you to read any codes in low light conditions and is "not afraid" of glare on smooth paper or gadget screens from which reading takes place. The application made it possible to optimize the process and create one of the fastest solutions on the market, with the help of which it takes less than one second to scan one code. For November 2021, ATOL.QR can be downloaded for free to a computer from the ATOL website and then downloaded to the device. From December 2021, the application can be installed directly on Shipping Documentation through the Google Play service. Such software is suitable for any data collection terminals from the ATOL line, but the capacity of the most budget models will be enough to solve the problems of shopping and entertainment centers.

According to ATOL, the average speed of checking QR codes when working with a terminal without an application is 6 seconds (this is the time for scanning and checking data by employees of a shopping center), the average throughput in this case is 10 people per minute. The app allows you to increase the throughput to 15 people per minute, which is an additional 300 visitors per hour.
