2021: Start of production of ultrasound devices

In December 2021, the production of ultrasound devices worth more than ₽4 million began in the Dubna SEZ. We are talking about the devices of the ELS-Med company, which since 2019 has been a resident of the mentioned special economic zone.

According to the press service of the Government of the Moscow Region, ELS-Med received a license from Roszdravnadzor for the production and maintenance of diagnostic medical equipment, the first batches of ultrasound equipment have already begun to arrive at Russian medical institutions. About 22 million rubles have been invested in production, said Ekaterina Zinovieva, Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.

According to her, after reaching full production capacity, ELS-Med expects to occupy up to 10% of the market for X-ray and ultrasound devices in Russia.

By the end of 2021, the company offers ultrasound devices ELS-500, ELS-500T and ELS-500 Mini. The first batch of ultrasound devices of ELS-500 expert class under the state order was delivered to the Lyubertsy regional hospital, the cost of one ultrasound was 4.08 million rubles.

In 2022, the Dubna resident plans to expand the line of equipment by adding tablet-type ultrasound devices and radiographic equipment that is already being tested. And later, the production of MRI and CT devices will be launched.

According to the SPARK-Interfax system, ELS-Med LLC was registered in April 2019. The founders are Timur Khairulin and Evgeny Khripko. The manufacturer was founded by immigrants from medical equipment distribution companies as a project for import substitution of such equipment in the Russian Federation.

In 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced plans to introduce a point-based system for confirming the Russian origin of complex devices, including ultrasound scanners.^[2]
