2022: Opening an additional point in the data center of IXcellerate

Qrator Labs on March 30, 2022 announced the expansion of the network thanks to cooperation with IXcellerate. The company invests in the development of its own infrastructure in order to maintain a high level of protection against cyber threats against the background of high rates of digitalization of the economy, both in Russia and internationally. Key customers of Qrator Labs are representatives of the banking sector, transport industry, e-commerce, educational resources, as well as gaming companies, tourism and others. User traffic is filtered by 15 Cleaning Centers, 4 of which are located in Moscow.

Qrator Labs places 48-unit high server racks in the data center of the IXcellerate MOS1 to maintain and develop its own network and server infrastructure. The guaranteed power supply is 5kW. The IXcellerate provides full energy redundancy through a single-phase connection on two beams. Remote maintenance and remote work capabilities by IXcellerate engineers within the "remote hands" service are available to the customer. Backbone access to the Internet is provided by the Megafon telecom operator with a capacity of 100G, redundancy is additionally organized through the Mastertel telecommunications network.

As a data center service provider partner, Qrator Labs was looking for an executor who could ensure high service availability and infrastructure reliability at the level of world standards (99.999%). The neutrality of the data center was a prerequisite for cooperation, since the ability to quickly switch to alternative communication providers is a significant factor in success in the event of external threats and other forcing circumstances. IXcellerate meets all these requirements thanks to its own partner ecosystem, which as of March 2022 brings together more than 50 telecom operators, 4 traffic exchange platforms (including Eurasia Peering IX's own platform) and dozens of other technology companies.

Opening another point in the IXcellerate data center will allow Qrator Labs to provide protection against - DDoSattacks even more the Russian customers and ensure high performance traffic filtering. The operational mode supported by IXcellerate provides the provider with the ability to prevent attacks on the sites and other resources of its customers without temporarily disconnecting the shelves and stopping the current server operation.
