the beginning of February 2024, Moscow completes the construction of the "oncological framework"

According to her, to improve the provision of oncological care in Moscow in four years, more than 85 thousand m2 of new infrastructure were erected, over 40 thousand m2 were repaired. Almost 4 thousand pieces of equipment worth over 5 billion rubles were delivered to specialized medical institutions. During this period, the volume of oncological care in the capital almost doubled during this period. At the same time, malignant neoplasms in the early stages began to be detected after the start of the work of the city's medical institutions according to a single standard in 67% of cases against 62% in 2019.

The new standard for the provision of oncological care, to which Moscow has switched, assumes that instead of disparate departments and hospitals, five anchor cancer clinics have been created on the basis of the five largest city hospitals. Each anchor clinic has a hospital with advanced equipment, an outpatient cancer care center instead of an old oncology dispensary and a modern pathomorphological laboratory. This reduces the timing of diagnosis and makes the process of contacting medical institutions more comfortable, the Moscow mayor's office said.[1]
