2022: Introduction of video server on the Russian processor "Domination Height" into the security system

Raspadskaya Coal Company introduced safety video server on the Russian components into her system. The first to use domestic processors in motherboards the production of smart systems video surveillances were the engineers Perm IT of the company. " In VIPAX cooperation with the Russian developer JSC "" microelectronics they MCST created a video server. This was Domination HEIGHT announced by the company "VIPAX" on August 30, 2022.

The video server runs on an eight-core Elbrus-8C processor, the Russian motherboard and the Elbrus Linux operating system, which protects the server from data leakage and malware entering the BIOS. Processor specifications allow you to simultaneously record from 64 cameras of any resolution.

The decisive factor in choosing the equipment was precisely the high level of protection of the server from external attacks. Before installing the server, the company had doubts whether domestic components would cope with the load, because video servers are used not only for storage, but also for data analytics. The server coped with the task, while the installation and configuration turned out to be as simple as possible,
commented Stepan Motorin, specialist of the IT directorate of the Raspadskaya coal company.

Thanks to the use of domestic components and software, the Domination HEIGHT video server meets the requirements of the state import substitution program (in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 10.07.2019 No. 878 and the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 30.03.2022 No. 166 "On measures to ensure the technological independence and security of the critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation"). The video server is included in the register of Russian radio-electronic products and the Unified Register of Russian programs for electronic computers and databases, which allows it to be installed at the facilities of state structures, transport infrastructure, communication networks and backbone enterprises of the Russian economy.

The Domination HEIGHT video servers are already installed on the objects. critical information infrastructure For such facilities, high safety requirements for the equipment used are determined at the legislative level. From March 31, 2022, they are prohibited from purchasing foreign IT products. Therefore, the company is ready to continue to work with Russian microelectronics developers, to create software for them. For example, the company adapted and tested its software for the production of video servers based on the domestic processor Baikal","
emphasized the general director of the company "VIPAX ," Sergey Mikhailov.

Domination HEIGHT video servers can be integrated with other security systems, such as access control and control systems, security and fire systems, and perimeter alarms. Increased video protection for Domination servers has been achieved by:

  • Russian processor production, which minimizes the risk of malware entering the BIOS;
  • using the Elbrus Linux operating system, certified by the FSB for SS and the Ministry of Defense in the 2nd class of protection against unauthorized access;
  • setting the write-protected medium with; OS
  • Russian software Domination with flexible configuration of user access rights;
  • Use a special technology for recording MDR (multi disk record) video data and data mirroring, which allows you to save the entire amount of video stream, even if one or more hard drives fail.

As of August 30, 2022, more than 40 Russian-made video servers of VIPAX, which record and store video data from 1,824 cameras, were installed at the facilities of the Raspadskaya Coal Company.
