2022: Completion of design of AWS transfer to domestic software
NRNU MEPHI started implementing the strategy import substitution planned until 2024. The first stage of the strategy - the design of the transfer of AWS to domestic software helped to implement the specialists of JSC "" Greenatom- with ITintegrator Rosatom State Corporation a dedicated competence of import substitution. This was announced by the company "Greenatom" on August 30, 2022.
The work on the design of the transition to Russian operational systems and office software was carried out in accordance with the recommendations on import substitution for universities developed by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
At the first stage, a comprehensive inventory of AWS was carried out. Based on its results, a list of jobs for transferring to was formed and approved, domestic OS and the register necessary for the educational process was updated. software registry
The second stage provided for the reasonable choice of a domestic platform and the design of technical solutions for the transition of AWS to domestic software. Based on the results of testing for compatibility with application systems, the operating system and office suite were selected. MEPhI independently determined a list of engineering and application software for checking compatibility, which included more than 50 systems.
At the third stage, the contractor demonstrated the work of technical solutions for migration of the AWS test group based on the approved test program and methodology. The work was accepted by the leadership of NRNU MEPhI in full.
The university is one of the first national research universities. Russia On the basis of NRNU MEPhI, in cooperation with Rosatom State Corporation, specialists are trained for, atomic industries as well as active practical scientific and activity. The university's curriculum is built on a deep study of engineering and physical directions using current digital systems. NRNU MEPhI is actively introducing domestic digital products not only into the educational process, but also into all supporting functions. By 2024, teachers and employees of the university will work mainly in Russian programs. As a result of the contract, the university prepared for a comprehensive import substitution of jobs - it chose a domestic operating system and tested it for compatibility with the existing infrastructure, conducted an inventory of jobs, tested technical solutions for AWS migration. The deadline for the work was 50 calendar days. Greenatom specialists successfully implemented all stages of the project in accordance with the customer's technical assignment.
Greenatom implements a large-scale import substitution program in the nuclear industry. Practices, experience and products for transferring jobs to domestic software have shown their effectiveness and are increasingly being used outside the perimeter of Rosatom. In the process of implementing import substitution projects, the company applies high industry standards in terms of information security, development and implementation of information systems, infrastructure support and users.
