Rosatom and Belgorod Oblast will equip the region's roads with intelligence

2022: Road Complex Management Efficiency Improvement Plan

JSC RuSat Infrastructure Solutions"" (RIR, part of the State Corporation Rosatom"") Belgorod region and implement the project development of the intelligent transport system (ITS) region. The work pool includes both the supply of new specialized equipment and the modernization of the previously installed, including an update software.. The project is designed to improve the efficiency of the management of the road complex, which will affect the convenience and safety of the road. It covers the key areas transport of infrastructure modernization as part of the region's integrated approach to the creation of ITS.

The implementation takes place on the basis of a concluded municipal contract between the OGKU "Department of Road Facilities and Transport" of the Belgorod Region and JSC "Digital Platforms and Solutions of the Smart City," which is part of the RIR control loop. Work on this project will be completed by the end of 2022. The region creates ITS within the framework of the federal program "System-wide measures for the development of roads" of the national project "Safe Quality Roads" from 2020.

The project will provide real-time monitoring of the city's traffic flows and road infrastructure management. Also, online, the administration will be able to receive information about the transport situation, including information about violations of traffic rules.

In particular, traffic lights will be modernized for their adaptive control, new detectors will be installed to monitor traffic flows. This will allow you to measure, in addition to the average, the instant speed, collect data in ITS on the number of objects and road incidents. The existing computer units of detectors are also dismantled, the necessary replacement of components, software modernization are carried out, installation and connection to power consumption networks is carried out, commissioning and metrological verification are carried out.

The creation of a workable and promising transport model of the region is impossible without high-quality data collection and intelligent processing.
