At the same time, against the background of sanctions, many projects for snacking data centers are postponed indefinitely - data center providers promise to launch in 2022-2023. more than 20 thousand additional racks, but whether the promises will be fulfilled is unclear. This is due, among other things, to the fact that foreign vendors have stopped supplying engineering equipment to Russian data centers.

And in April 2022, an acute shortage of places in data centers formed in Moscow. Thus, their number has decreased to 800 places (the minimum value since 2018). At the same time, Moscow accounts for up to 72% of the total colocation services market in Russia.

Roman Shulimov, Sales Director of Linxdatacenter, also agreed with the acute shortage of data centers. According to the terms of reference of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a machine room is required for at least 100 racks, he noted.
