2022: Provision of a geodistributed platform for the My Finance portal

On October 25, 2022, Selectel provider cloudy the infrastructure announced that it had provided a sustainable geodistributed platform for state educational the financial My Finance literacy portal. The customer of the project was. "Research Financial Institute" of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation (NIFI of the Ministry of Finance of Russia)

The My Finance service was created at the initiative of the NIFI of the Ministry of Finance of Russia to improve the financial literacy of the country's population. The portal is designed for a wide audience and provides accessible and practical information about the financial culture.

To create a catastrophic and fault-tolerant infrastructure, the provider provided the client with dedicated servers located on geographically remote sites - Selectel data centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and also organized network connectivity between them, which allows working with dedicated servers in terms of IP addressing as a single geoserver object. On this basis, the customer implemented a web service with a dedicated server for hosting analytics and backups.

In addition, Selectel supports the information security of the project. The provider protects the platform from DDoS attacks, as well as filters traffic and protects web applications using WAF Qrator, a service provided in partnership with Qrator Labs.

For the customer, the speed and quality of the provision of services were important, as well as the readiness of the provider to work taking into account all the requirements and standards that government organizations follow in fulfilling procurement conditions. Therefore, within one day we provided the infrastructure of the highest level in accordance with the parameters of the terms of reference and, together with the customer's team, were able to prepare everything necessary for the migration of the portal as soon as possible, - said Roman Venediktov, director of GR and regional development at Selectel.
