2021: State grant 156 million rubles for the development of a RBS system with microservice architecture

In January 2021, the Russian Fund for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT) announced that BSS became one of the winners of the competition for grants for the development of domestic software products. Grants for the development of IT companies are allocated by the Ministry of Digital Development within the framework of the federal project "Digital Technologies," the head of which is Deputy Minister Maxim Parshin.

The press release of RFRIT indicated the amount of the BSS grant of about 195.4 million rubles. 2020: Auditing at the OUD4

The BSS RBS system for corporate clients (Correqts Corporate) has been audited at the OUD4. BSS announced this on November 10, 2020.

An analysis of vulnerabilities to the estimated level of trust of at least 4 (OUD4) is an urgent topic related to the requirements of the Bank of Russia. BSS experts analyzed the methods and competencies of employees of companies offering audits at the OUD4. Unfortunately, the scope of work performed by these companies does not fully comply with the requirements of GOST 15408-3-2013. In addition, it does not meet the requirements of this type of work, especially in terms of source code analysis.

The analysis of vulnerabilities was OUD4 entrusted to BSS-Security. The competencies of its specialists, methods and methodology for carrying out this type of projects are impeccably verified.

At the first stage of the project implementation, a plan for testing and conducting the certification tests themselves is formed. Further, a test software and hardware complex (stand) is prepared, which repeats the operating environment. Testing for penetration of software from the Internet and from the internal network is carried out. The next stage is static and dynamic analysis of the source code both manually and using specialized tools. Protocols and reporting documentation are being prepared in the final.

The result of the analysis of OUD4 vulnerabilities is the identification and elimination by the developer of all weaknesses in the software that can be exploited by attackers.

CORREQTS Corporate Audit

On May 21, 2018, BSS announced that CORREQTS Corporate had successfully passed the Group-IB audit.

Group-IB has confirmed the absence of critical vulnerabilities and secure work with cryptographic information protection tools integrated into the DBO BSS system on the customer's side.

At the second stage, Group-IB experts assessed the correctness of eliminating previously found vulnerabilities. As during the security audit, various attacks were modeled using black box and white box methods. During the second stage, the following was carried out:

  • correctness of application vulnerability elimination as an executable x86 object,
  • assessment of correctness of elimination of vulnerabilities identified during analysis of the application source code.

The control audit demonstrated that all previously found shortcomings were completely eliminated. Group-IB specialists have reliably confirmed the correction of the vulnerabilities found. This makes it possible to ensure on the customer's side the safe operation of extremely important functionality responsible for interaction with cryptographic information protection tools (CIPF).

Group-IB confirmed the security of CORREQTS

Testing was carried out using the Gray Box method - experts were given access to the test site with the CORRQTS platform version 2.2.0 and accounts with the roles of superuser, manager, operator and system client. During the analysis, no additional protective mechanisms were used to protect the RBS system, and no system source codes were provided.

The audit showed that the CORREQTS remote banking system is built on a platform that significantly reduces the risk of unintentional writing of vulnerable code. Only two minor and easily recoverable flaws have been identified that do not lead to the leakage of confidential data.
