2022: Completion of the warehouse logistics automation project at the site in the Sverdlovsk region

The management of the Syrobogatov Group of Companies monitors global trends and introduces advanced technologies. Recently, the company completed a project to automate warehouse logistics at a site in the Sverdlovsk region, with an area of 2839 sq.m.
The system for implementation had to meet a number of criteria, for example: be flexible, scalable and easy to administer, ensure that the product is accounted for by shelf life and by PPE, and have tools for visualizing statistics for performance analysis. Not in last place was the cost of implementation and use. As a result, the AXELOT WMS X5 system was chosen, and the contractor was AXELOT.
The management of the Syrobogatov Group of Companies also decided that the most profitable option for using the software is the AXELOT Cloud usage model, in which the subscriber client is able to work with ready-made software from any device, having only access to the Internet.
When choosing the deployment architecture, including calculations were made in the context of system ownership for 7 years. If you purchase software in Cloud format, your software subscription will be renewed annually. While there is no annual payment for the software itself in the on-premium format, there is a constant cost of maintaining and maintaining its own IT infrastructure, which in total over 7 years is almost 2 times the cost of annual payments under the AXELOT Cloud usage model.
Connection and operation with the AXELOT WMS X5 system is implemented through a web interface, and service and service availability support are tasks that AXELOT solves.
During the implementation of AXELOT WMS X5, the project team integrated the system into a single enterprise loop. Integration has been configured through the DATAREON ESB data service bus, now the integration landscape of the enterprise includes: AXELOT WMS X5, AXELOT TMS and the corporate information system. The configured exchange between the WMS and the CIS of the enterprise allows you to speed up the preparation of data for exchange with the CRPT (Honest Sign).
As a result of the project, all necessary business processes are automated in the warehouse, and tasks are performed by warehouse personnel using mobile data collection terminals. The system plans the placement of goods taking into account the ABC classification, and the selection is planned according to the FEFO principle or a certain batch is selected, and the system takes into account the remaining shelf life during the selection. The warehouse topology is visualized in the system in compliance with the actual distances, thereby optimizing the routes of movement of technicians and employees. Warehouse transactions are recorded using shipping documentation and can be tracked in this way. management of Syrobogatov Group of Companies received a convenient tool for analyzing and planning warehouse operations in real time.
The results of the implementation of AXELOT WMS X5 became noticeable after two months:
- The unit cost of warehouse processing of goods (RUB/kg) fell by 19%;
- Downtime cars to loading due to the pace of configuration fell (on average) from 8 hours to 1 hours;
- The speed of selection (productivity of pickers) increased by 20%;
- Eliminated the risks of shipment of non-conforming batches and "stitches" of goods in the warehouse due to non-compliance with the FEFO principle;
- The period of adaptation of new employees has been reduced.
Production of this level requires uninterrupted operation from the implemented WMS. AXELOT has fully met this need by providing comprehensive system support both during the start-up phase and after. It should be noted that the construction of the warehouse was carried out according to the recommendations of AXELOT CONSULT, which developed the technological design of the warehouse. Automation took place in accordance with the recommendations given by the company's specialists.
