2023: Purchase of 3 thousand "Muscovites" together with "TaxovichkoF"
The People & People group of companies made an order for 3 thousand Moskvich 3 crossovers to transfer them to service in the taxi services TaksovichkoF and Citymobil. The corresponding agreement was signed on May 19, 2023 by Dmitry Pronin, General Director of Moskvich Moscow Automobile Plant, and Igor Rudziy, General Director of People & People Management Company.
According to the agreement, Taksovichkof and Citymobil will receive the specified number of cars by the end of 2023. Igor Rudziy says that the choice in favor of Moskvich cars was made, among other things, focusing on the price-quality ratio. According to Dmitry Pronin, general director of the Moskvich plant, cars will be convenient for daily trips and will provide a high level of comfort.
As the managing director of Citymobil and Taxovichkof Dmitry Kovalenko said, mainly cars will be sold in St. Petersburg and Moscow. The first Moskvich-3 cars in the branded Sitimobil and Taksovichkof inking will appear on the streets in mid-June 2023.
It is known that part of Muscovites will participate in the CityPark program, according to which a taxi service employee can start working in a new car without a down payment and redeem it after the lease expires. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
In mid-May 2023, sales of Moskvich 3 crossovers in the Comfort version began in Moscow and St. Petersburg, which costs 2.25 million rubles, which is 280 thousand rubles more than the price of the basic configuration of the car (modification of the Standard). The main differences between Comfort and the basic version are the trunk electric drive, heated seats, electric folding of side mirrors, side cushions and safety curtains, a digital dashboard, which can also be found in the Moskvich 3e electric car, as well as leather seat upholstery.[1]
2022: Purchase of 2 thousand Moskvich cars for taxi companies
Citymobil buys 2 thousand Moskvich cars for taxi companies. The fact that such an agreement has already been reached was reported by the PR-director of the People & People group of companies (the structure includes Citymobil, Gruzovichkof, Taxovichkof) Ekaterina Zubenina.
According to her, so far we are talking only about the supply of gasoline "Muscovites." Some of the Citymobil cars are planned to be purchased for the Citipark leasing company, which is part of the aggregator structure, which provides cars to taxi companies, and another part for partner lessors, Zubenina explained in a conversation with Forbes. By the end of November 2022, Citymobil also discusses deliveries of electric vehicles to taxi companies, but from other companies - for example, Evolute (localized models of Chinese manufacturers are produced under this brand in Russia).
Also, the receipt of Moskvich is not excluded in Yandex.Taxi. However, in order to fill the industry with the maximum possible number of cars now, the service is negotiating with all automakers open to dialogue. This was stated in the press service of Yandex.Taxi.
Taxi ordering services are able to predict the potential demand of taxi companies for new cars and understand that it will be extremely difficult for small taxi companies or private carriers to purchase cars in the current economic realities, said Irina Zaripova, head of the public council for taxi development. If the services manage to conclude agreements with automakers, then taxi companies will have the opportunity to purchase vehicles on special conditions - thus, it will be possible to avoid a situation where carriers will try to operate taxi cars to the last, she explained.
In November 2022, the mass assembly of Moskvich-3 cars, similar to the models of the Chinese JAC, began at the former Renault plant in Moscow. Sales are scheduled for December 2022. The plant will be able to produce 600 cars by the end of the year, of which 200 are electric.[2]
