2022: Commissioning of a solar-diesel power plant in the village of Toora-Hem

Hevel Energoservice (part of the Hevel group of companies) commissioned a solar-diesel power plant with a capacity of 4.65 MW in the village of Toora-Hem, Republic of Tuva. This was announced on December 15, 2022 by representatives of the Hevel Group of Companies.

The station provides uninterrupted power supply to several hard-to-reach settlements in the region, in which more than 6,000 people live: s. Toora-Hem, Adyr-Kezhig, Iy and Saldam, as well as a sanatorium-forest school, a woodworking enterprise and a satellite communication station. In the daytime, electricity from a 1 MW solar power plant is supplied to the common network together with existing diesel generators, excess is accumulated in a 500 kW * h energy storage system.

The station is controlled in automatic mode. The associated operation of the equipment ensures the most optimal operating mode, which saves diesel fuel consumption and extends the life of diesel generators. The estimated diesel fuel economy for the Toora-Hem project is 33% of the current consumption or 614 tons per year.

The station was built as part of an energy service contract with the region at the expense of Hevel. Such a financial model avoided an increase in tariffs for the population and, after the return on investment, would reduce the burden on the regional budget by reducing subsidies for the purchase of diesel fuel. In addition to the modernization of the existing diesel generation, during the implementation of the project, the network infrastructure was modernized.

Since 2019, 2 similar hybrid stations have already been operating in the Republic of Tuva in the villages of Mugur-Aksy and Kyzyl-Haya. According to Hevel, the actual annual diesel fuel savings for these projects amounted to 31% in Mugur-Aksy and 42% in Kyzyl-Khaya - more than 500 tons of diesel fuel per year.

Since 2015, the Hevel group of companies has built 7 AGEUs in the Trans-Baikal and Krasnoyarsk Territories, the Altai and Tuva Republics, as well as in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug with a total capacity of more than 20 MW.

As of mid-December 2022, projects for the construction of hybrid power plants in 40 settlements in Siberia and the Far East with a total installed capacity of more than 60 MW are in different stages of implementation.
