Soyuz Bank, with the support of Diasoft, switched to Microsoft SQL Server DBMS

2022: Porting Software Products to Microsoft SQL Server

Soyuz Bank and Diasoft completed a large-scale project to transfer software products installed in the bank from DBMSybase ASE to MS SQL Server DBMS. This made it possible to replace server equipment, which no longer met the growing needs of the bank, with more modern, productive and easy to maintain. This was announced by Diasoft on December 20, 2022.

Several key business areas of Soyuz Bank are automated using Diasoft software products, which are part of the Digital Q.Consumer, Digital Q.Corporate, Digital Q.Payments and Digital Q.FinancialMarkets development platforms. One of the main tasks of the project was to transfer installed products to MS SQL Server DBMS without stopping bank development projects and with minimal technological windows in the work of IT systems.

Thanks to a joint project with Diasoft, the bank successfully switched to new server equipment and MS SQL Server DBMS, which provide all the possibilities for solving current business problems and implementing further plans of the bank. At the stage of the pre-project survey, Diasoft experts analyzed the existing database architecture, together with the specialists of Bank Soyuz, formed the target solution architecture, determined the scope and procedure for performing the work.

Diasoft products installed in the bank were customized for its individual needs, and during the migration of databases it was necessary to adapt a large amount of non-distribution code. Within the framework of the project, a complex reintegration of DBMS with the bank's IT systems was carried out without stopping their work.
