On January 27, 2023, AXELOT announced the introduction of AXELOT WMS X5 into PARTNER ELECTRO.

According to the company, PARTNER ELECTRO is actively increasing its production capacity and is engaged in increasing sales in both traditional distribution channels and e-commerce. The logistics complex, which ensures the turnover of the company's products, is located in the Bogorodsky urban district of the Moscow region. The warehouse stores and processes finished products coming from the production located here, and raw materials - only 3000 SKU. The warehouse area is 5000 sq. m.

Automation of warehouse logistics is a stage that PARTNER ELECTRO has already passed, but over time the current WMS has ceased to meet business requirements, its functionality did not allow covering all the necessary warehouse operations, so some of them had to be performed manually. Company management decided to replace the existing system with AXELOT WMS X5 to reduce the impact of the human factor and optimize the efficiency of logistics processes.

At the time of the implementation of AXELOT WMS X5, only the receiving and shipping processes were automated in the old system. The selection was planned manually by the responsible employee, since the previous WMS did not allow the item to be reserved for priority customers. The selection tasks were formed by a list, and from where and what specific unit of goods the collector selected in the order on his own. The system formed the tasks for placement and replenishment, but warehouse employees moved goods within these tasks in a way that is convenient for drivers of equipment.

Thanks to the implementation of AXELOT WMS X5, the selection planning process is now automated - the shift supervisor no longer has to take part in creating tasks, but can afford to adjust which ones are priority and which ones are not using the status and time of transfer of the order to completion.

The use of WMS functionality to ensure counterparty requirements in preparation for shipment allows the system to comply with the following requirements:

  • Limitation on the size of the minimum quantum - for certain counterparties, it is necessary to limit the ability to select and ship items and it is permissible to complete orders either with whole boxes or pallets.
  • For internal receivers, it is allowed to ship materials for production or finished goods with a certain percentage of variances.
  • Provide preliminary information and subsequent control for compliance with the number and composition of cargo items prepared by order.
  • Both horizontal and vertical densification are automated, and movement tasks are canceled if it is necessary to take the goods on the moving pallet to the order. Various methods are implemented for identifying the pallet and products on it, which can be used in cases where some of the bar codes is not read.

An important procedure at all stages of the production and sale of PARTNER ELECTRO products is quality control, materials and finished products entering the warehouse are subjected to it. The company has its own OTK laboratory with modern testing equipment. In the previous WMS, the QCD check was not reflected in any way, after the implementation of AXELOT WMS X5, the warehouse personnel sees the QCD check performed during the acceptance process at any stage of the movement of a specific batch. At the same time, it is possible to track not only the state of the products, but information about who, when and for how long carried out this or that operation with the pallet.

The exchange of data on the results of the quality check became available, among other things, thanks to the integration of WMS with the corporate information system, which is implemented using the DATAREON MQ message queue service.

The use of AXELOT WMS X5 allowed PARTNER ELECTRO to automate all warehouse operations and optimize their transparency, taking into account the requirements and restrictions related to the specifics of the product and the operating conditions of the company's logistics complex.
