Sberbank on February 9, 2023 released the SaluteVision Mobile SDK (software development kit), which allows Russian business and government organizations to quickly integrate computer vision systems into their mobile applications on Android and iOS. The technology was created by partner company SberDevices. The SaluteVision Mobile SDK is based on Sberbank's own development - ML Computer Vision.

For February 2023, the tool library is publicly available and consists of four models that can provide mobile applications with the ability to identify document boundaries and highlight them, scan and process QR and Aztec codes, and recognize machine-readable passports. All functions are available on the user's device, without contacting the server, which means they can work without an Internet connection.

SaluteVision Mobile SDK allows organizations from different industries to easily and conveniently expand the functionality of their mobile applications and, as a result, improve their client experience. So far, we have only opened access to four models, but even this configuration allows us to enrich applications with important user capabilities. The recognition and auto-completion of passport fields is very relevant for the banking, legal sectors, healthcare, to provide public services. The ability to localize a document on the table is useful in many HR processes, for example, when an employee needs to properly scan documents and send them to the human resources department. And barcode recognition is used everywhere, including when paying through the application. In the future, we plan to expand the list of our models, said Denis Afanasyev, Director of the B2B-products division of Salut Sberbank.

The SaluteVision Mobile SDK library has already been implemented in the SberBusiness mobile application. Built-in models allow you to scan barcodes, providing fast payment through the application, which significantly saves users time. The implementation of the SaluteVision Mobile SDK in the SberBusiness application has improved the quality and speed of QR and Aztec code recognition. ^[1]
