The introduction of AXELOT WMS X5 in the warehouses of PJSC Mosenergo made it possible to significantly increase the accuracy of accounting for warehouse balances and digitalize warehouse document management. The automation project was carried out using Russian software.

The development project also affected the warehouse logistics of the enterprise - in 2020, the management of Mosenergo PJSC decided through the introduction of WMS to increase the efficiency of warehouse process management, as well as to be able to quickly collect statistical data on warehouse operations for the analysis and management of warehouse resources.

The company uses warehouses to supply heat and power plants with the necessary materials, household chemicals and overalls for employees. For a number of goods, accounting in the warehouse is kept, among other things, by shelf life. The implementation of such a large-scale project took two years and was completed at the end of 2022.

An important condition when choosing a software solution was its complete import independence. Warehouse management software should have been developed in Russia and have compatibility with independent DBMS and OS. As a result, Postgres Pro was chosen for organizing the database, and an operating system from the Linux family was chosen as the OS for the WMS server.

During the implementation of AXELOT, WMS X5 was built into the integration loop of the enterprise, which made it possible to automatically exchange files between WMS and the corporate information system (CIS). Incoming inspection at the warehouses of Mosenergo PJSC is a complex technological process, which can consist of several stages of testing, therefore, it is not always performed on the day of goods acceptance. If the goods have not yet passed the incoming control, they are still listed in the WMS, and in the CIS they fall only on the fact of performing all regulated operations and issuing all the necessary documents. This is because, despite the fact that purchase requisitions are created 6-12 months before delivery, according to the accounting rules in ERP, the entry recording the receipt is made only after passing the incoming inspection.

AXELOT WMS X5 has a work center for incoming inspection of products to optimize the work of employees who inspect the goods. In addition to the functionality that allows you to analyze and control the execution of operations, WMS implements various tools. For example, the Reversal activity to correct the errors made during the receipt/shipment and to forward the updated data to ERP.

As a result of the introduction of AXELOT WMS X5 in the warehouses of PJSC Mosenergo, the following results were achieved:

• Interchangeability of employees is ensured;
• Assessment of the quality and productivity of warehouse workers is made on the basis of statistical data collected using WMS;
• Updated data on stock balances in storage locations, information is updated in real time;
• Each warehouse transaction is planned by the system and fixed in AXELOT WMS X5.
