2023: Road Map Development

Softline on March 13, 2023 announced that it had developed a migration roadmap for solutions available in Russia for Trouw Nutrition Russia. This allowed the customer to switch to import-independent software without compromising business processes.

Trouw Nutrition is a representative in the field of feed solutions, premixes and feeding programs for animal husbandry. However, due to the separation of the Russian branch into a separate company, the customer lost access to IT products. The client had time to switch to services available in the Russian Federation, but he did not know how to approach the task, and therefore he needed the help of third-party consultants.

Trouw Nutrition Russia chose among several companies, while prices and timing of implementation for both Softline and its closest competitor were similar. However, Trouw Nutrition Russia made a choice in favor of Softline, as the company demonstrated a high level of training, a ready-made approach and a project concept.

It was necessary to choose analogues of infrastructure services and others. software Microsoft Windows Microsoft Active Directory DNS DHCP Microsoft Exchange Microsoft Skype for Business VMware Microsoft Office 365 Google Chrome For example. Adobe Acrobat

To accurately identify customer needs, the Softline team conducted an interview and inventory survey. The main scenarios of software use, the main functional and business requirements of the customer, security requirements were identified.

Based on the survey, the specialists identified those solutions that the customer can use for some time (due to various factors) and those that need to be migrated as soon as possible. For all solutions, a list of analogues available in Russia with various options was prepared where variability is possible. The shortlist was evaluated based on the criteria for compliance with all customer requirements and the level of service support.

After the presentation of the recommended solutions for the transition, pilot testing for compatibility and integration of the offered products was carried out.

At the end of the project, the Russian division of Trouw Nutrition received a ready-made plan for the transition to available solutions and subsequently entrusted Softline with the implementation of migration work. As a result, Astra Linux, ALD Pro BIND9, FreeIPA, CommuniGate Pro, TrueConf, HostVM, P7-Office, Yandex.Browser and Foxit PDF Reader were chosen for the transition.

The success of this project was greatly played by the fact that the response to the customer's request was partly given in advance. We had a presentation ready, an approach ready, a concept. We understood what to do and were able to demonstrate this level of training and competencies to the client. He saw that we would not waste time thinking about how to solve the problem, but would immediately start solving it, "said Vladimir Nesterov, leading sales manager for Softline solutions.

Specialists were able to choose from thousands of solutions on the market those that are suitable for us. Separately, I note the quality of communication during the project. We were promptly advised and supported on all emerging issues, - said Bavin Alexander, Head of the IT Department of Trouw Nutrition Russia.
