In Russia, the technical equipment of the Intercollegiate Center for Countering Cyber Threats (MSSP SOC), created on the basis of the Consortium of Supporting Universities of the Republic of Tatarstan, has been completed . Innovage, with the support of technology partners (Positive Technologies and CyberOK), has provided MSSP SOC with advanced incident monitoring and response solutions. This was announced on March 23 by representatives of Innostage.

MSSP SOC was created on the basis of four universities: Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev (KAI), Kazan Federal University (KFU), Kazan State Energy University (KGEU) and Innopolis University.

The main task of the Intercollegiate SOC is to increase the level of information security the Russian universities at the federal and regional levels. Students educational institutions will be responsible for monitoring information security incidents, and teachers and employees information technology of university departments will respond and monitor their activities. In emergency situations virtually , Innostage specialists will be able to connect to the center.

SOC is based on a technology platform located inside the Innostage perimeter, consisting of a system for collecting and correlating information security events () INFORMATION SECURITY based on the Positive Technologies solution and an information security incident response automation system -. Innostage IRP Universities have implemented connection interfaces to this platform, taking into account all the necessary requirements for ensuring safe transmission information between them and the head platform. Equipment for software universities, designed to collect and exchange the necessary information between components IT infrastructures and the platform, was provided to universities at no cost. Innostage will provide universities with countermeasures scenarios to the attacks created on the basis of the competencies of mentors from the center for countering cyber threats. The system Innostage CyberART, protection built on the basis of preventing the implementation of these scenarios, will threats be tested at real universities. to infrastructure Students will learn how to recognize legitimate infrastructure activity, what is worth paying attention to and what is abnormal or action. harmful

Innostage experts provided the necessary methodological materials and conducted training workshops for future MSSP SOC analysts. These events are part of a large-scale educational program that includes the theoretical and practical part. In the future, the heads of departments will learn the basics of MSSP SOC management in the framework of the corresponding course. With their participation, it is planned to create a closed community of SOC leaders, where they will share ideas for building operational activities in their Monitoring and Response Centers.

Participation in the university's SOC will allow students to increase their knowledge of the functioning of security, monitoring and incident response centers. In addition, they will be able to work closely with real incidents already during practice. As a result, the number of university graduates prepared for work in real conditions will increase significantly. This will eliminate the shortage of information security specialists in the country,
noted Aydar Guzairov, CEO of Innostage.
