Biography

Alexey Leonov was born in 1986 in Moscow.

He graduated in 2009 from the Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) in the field of System Design.

He began work on the implementation project SAP in OJSC MGTS from the outside integrator in 2006, the field of which moved to the customer's side and was responsible for the implementation of SAP in several departments.

Working at Severstal

In November 2009, Alexey Leonov joined Severstal-Infocom in the SAP Competence Center as an SAP expert, where he was responsible for the development of the Personnel direction.

Since May 2012, Alexey headed the direction, combining his management with the management of a large-scale program for digitalizing the life cycle of an employee. As part of it, for the first time in the company and industry, they used a product approach to develop and implement SAP solutions with UX\UI-designing user interfaces and using the Design Thinking methodology. As a result of the program, the solution was successfully replicated on all assets of Severgroup in several countries of the world with a total number of users of about 85,000 people.

In November 2017, Alexey Leonov moved to the position of head of the SAP Competence Center in Voronezh, where he was responsible for building a team, developing a client-oriented approach and improving efficiency.

Corporate architecture practices were also implemented to objectively select solutions and control their implementation.

In 2023, the department began actively preparing for digital transformation, implementing data-driven management tools, DevOps practices, and beginning preparations to build an enterprise data warehouse.
