Medical and laboratory equipment requires increased attention, including during its transportation and warehouse processing. Reagents and consumables have strict shelf life and storage conditions that must be taken into account without fail. Manually recording all the necessary data and parameters is laborious, so Delrus has planned the automation of warehouse logistics.

Automation took place at the company's warehouse in Moscow. The area of ​ ​ the object is 3500 square meters. m, the number of SKU - 15,000 . The assortment consists of medical and laboratory equipment, reagents, consumables. Delrus chose AXELOT WMS X5 as the software solution being implemented, and AXELOT became the executor of the project.

During the project, AXELOT specialists encountered a number of interesting tasks and wishes of the customer related to the peculiarities of the warehouse technological and business processes. When accepting goods that do not have specified weight and size characteristics, the warehouse personnel performs measurements independently using special equipment. During the project, the data exchange between the WMS and the measuring device was configured to implement IHC input on mobile terminals.

On the WMS side, a web service was developed, available to third-party systems, providing the ability to obtain data on inventory balances in the context of batches and indicating the area of ​ ​ the goods. Due to the lack information barcodes of information about goods, the initial load of balances was made from a table document that used data from, and corporate information system the search for goods and batches was carried out according to unique (to identifiers GUID). The project team also automated the process of filling in missing product information at acceptance using data collection terminals. For all accepted goods, the batch number (lot), production date, expiration country date and origin are indicated.

To integrate AXELOT WMS X5 with CIS, AXELOT specialists used DATAREON ESB. Integration made it possible, among other things, to configure the printing of labels containing information about the marketing authorization and the manufacturer. The specified data is uploaded from the CIS to specially created directories in the WMS. Automation has eliminated the occurrence of errors in the warehousing of goods caused by human factors. The AXELOT WMS X5 system allows you to control a large number of parameters of various objects, which significantly reduced the likelihood of losing goods due to violations of storage conditions, undercompliance and damage due to improper handling.
