2023: Introduction of Axelot WMS at the central warehouse in Bryansk

Axelot on August 15, 2023 announced the automation of the main warehouse of Aventa.

During the Axelot WMS implementation project, all key warehouse processes were automated, taking into account the specifics of storing and processing cable and electrical products.

Aventa specializes in the sale of electrical materials. The customer base of the company is electrical installation and construction organizations, industrial and infrastructure enterprises, retail stores, entrepreneurs and individuals. Avent wholesale offices are located in Bryansk, Orel, Smolensk, Kaluga. The company organizes delivery to dozens of cities and constantly increases coverage due to the development of new sales markets.

Due to the active development of the company and the growth of business needs, the management of Aventa LLC faced the question of the need to introduce a modern WMS system at the central warehouse located in Bryansk.

The warehouse has an area of ​ ​ 2000 sq.m., equipped with front racks. Floor storage is also used, there is a mezzanine and a street platform. The warehouse stores about 5,000 active products - cables and fasteners, installation materials, lamps and components for them.

Axelot WMS was chosen for implementation, Axelot specialists were involved in the implementation of the project.

The task of the project was simple - to automate all the main warehouse operations, but taking into account the peculiarities of warehouse processing of cable products. The functionality of the system fully covered the needs of the company for warehouse processing of piece goods, and to work with cable products in WMS, an additional configuration of replenishment and selection planning was made in order to systematically distinguish cut bays from entire ones.

Serial accounting for the cable was implemented in the warehouse - for this, the system batch mechanism was used, each item of goods in the system is assigned its own unique batch. An analysis for a whole bay was implemented when planning operations. If it is necessary to reel a piece of cable from a whole coil, the system creates a task to replenish the area of ​ ​ the windings, and only after the replenishment operation activates the task to reel the required cable meter.

Axelot WMS allows you to distribute tasks among warehouse personnel according to the areas of responsibility of the executors. The remainder of the cable in the coils to be cut is analyzed in accordance with the needs, including the planning of cable pieces for the need. The functionality of converting the receipt plan for several expected receipts was implemented. Within one receipt note in the CIS, the goods can be in different warehouses (physically separated rooms), so for optimal operation for each warehouse, Axelot WMS divides the receipt note into several expected receipts.

According to Axelot, the goal of the project was achieved - the main warehouse of Aventa was automated, thanks to which it was possible to increase the accuracy and relevance of warehouse balances, more efficiently use the personnel resource, and also minimize the likelihood of complaints from wholesale customers due to inaccuracies in supplies. As of August 2023, opportunities are being considered for the further development of the implemented solution.
