Russian hosting-provider and the domain registrar "Рег.ру" has connected St. Petersburg DPC tiers Tier III to host the flagship cloudy product. "Reg.ru" announced the introduction of cloud infrastructure in the new region. The company has increased the geography of accessibility areas for its own IaaS solutions. The volume of investments in the georegulated cloud will amount to about 700-800 million rubles. The first stage was the launch of a data center in St. Petersburg, the company said.

The data center is equipped with two parallel uninterruptible power supply systems ones and is connected to the backbone transmission ring data with a bandwidth of 100 Gbps. Fuel storage and diesel generator set are arranged on site for absolute autonomy of operation. The server racks are duplicated by the power distribution. The storage consists of SSD both NVME and disks server uptime is 99.98%. The data center meets the requirements of safety Tier III/TIA-942, servers and is protected by a system DDoS-Guard capable of reflecting at cyber attacks levels L3 and L4.

"Fault tolerance is achieved in several ways: automatic scaling of IT infrastructure resources, backup, replication, monitoring, or distribution at the data center level. When critical services are duplicated in several data centers, this allows you to maximize the possible risks and maintain performance in the event of power outages at city substations, interruptions in energy transmission lines or any problems on the data center side. In addition, some of our St. Petersburg clients prefer suppliers whose servers are located in territorial proximity, "said Andrey Egorov, sales director of Reg.ru.

At TAdviser SummIT 2023, the company introduced its own cloud products, talked about IaaS, PaaS solutions, private clouds and hybrid infrastructure.

The data center in St. Petersburg became the first regional location. The company has already launched three data centers in Moscow, including its own data center on the territory of the Technopolice Moscow Special Economic Zone.
