Simetra has equipped the Transport Planning Center of St. Petersburg with a domestic digital platform RITM³

The SIMETRA Group of Companies, a competence center in the field of transport flow modeling and transport planning, has supplied the Russian digital platform RITM³ to the St. Petersburg Transport Planning Center. Simetra announced this on December 20, 2023. The delivery includes three digital platform modules - GIS ("Geo-Information System for Data Collection, Storage, Analysis and Graphical Visualization"), "Digital Twin" and "Transport Forecasting and Modeling."

The RITM³ digital platform (Realtime Integrated Transport Monitoring & Modeling & Management) was developed by SIMETRA transport engineers and is included in the unified register of Russian programs for computers and databases by order of the Ministry of Communications of Russia. The system is designed for analysis, planning and management of the transport system - at the level of a region, city or industrial facility. ^RITM³ solves the tasks of monitoring, modeling and management, from strategic planning and assessing the feasibility of projects to operational management of the transport situation in the city in real time. The architecture of the digital platform allows you to connect various modules and expand its functionality. Each module works both independently and integrates with other modules, including it can work with various ITS elements.

The three key RITM³ modules that SIMETRA supplies for the St. Petersburg Transportation Planning Center complement each other. Thus, the Digital Twin module allows you to create data and objects of transport models and edit them. This data describes almost the entire transport infrastructure of the city. The module "Transport forecasting and modeling" provides work with these data, setting up calculation algorithms, as well as the calculations themselves and working with the results of calculations - visualization, tables, matrices. With the help of the GIS module, layers are added that can then be worked with in other modules as additional data for the model, - said SIMETRA Technical Director, Ph.D. Andrei Prokhorov.

The introduction of the digital platform is RITM³ carried out as part of the transition to domestic software transport modeling. Prior to that, we worked with well-known Russia the German software complexes.
