2023: Integration Platform Implementation
SIMETRA Group delivered and implemented an integration platform as part of the implementation of the first stage of the project to deploy the intelligent transport system (ITS) of the Vladimir agglomeration. The solution will improve the quality of traffic management, reduce congestion of the main highways during peak hours, and, in accordance with the goals of the national project "Safe and High-Quality Roads," will improve the road situation. Simetra announced this on January 15, 2024.
The development and implementation of the integration platform for the Vladimir agglomeration was carried out according to a technical project previously developed and approved by the customer. Within four months, SIMETRA specialists examined the main transport facilities of the Vladimir agglomeration, determined the places for new traffic lights and weather stations, transport detectors and road video cameras. On the basis of these data, the ITS control center was designed, which was based on the domestic integration platform RITM³. The solution includes several modules, including for transport planning and forecasting, as well as coordinated traffic management and its modeling. The customer of the work was the Center for Road Safety of the Vladimir Region. The design was carried out by experts from the integrator company Simetra Systems. The company is a member of SIMETRA Group of Companies and specializes in turnkey ITS implementation projects.
The development of the intellectual transport system in the Vladimir agglomeration is designed until 2030 and is being implemented within the framework of the national project "Safe and High-Quality Roads." The agglomeration provides for the modernization of traffic lights, the installation of video cameras. Smart equipment will analyze road traffic, record congestion, as well as traffic violations and, through analytics, improve the road situation and harmonize population mobility.
The project was developed taking into account the location of the business and historical center of the city along the banks of the Klyazma River, reverse traffic on the bridge and the need to reduce the time spent on the way by residents of the region.
The project uses exclusively domestic solutions - for SIMETRA ITS of the Vladimir agglomeration, the seventh project of introducing a transport planning and management system based on the RITM³ digital platform is already being implemented. It allows you to combine various systems for effective mobility management in agglomerations, - said Dmitry Stavsky, General Director of Simetra Systems. - This is one of the first steps in the implementation of ITS. I emphasize that the project will not affect the appearance of the historical part of the city in any way, but will significantly increase the mobility of citizens and bring the transport system of agglomeration to a qualitatively new level. |
The high level of professionalism of SIMETRA employees who participated in the development of the technology project is confirmed by the positive conclusion of industry independent experts. For our part, we would like to note the high qualifications, sociability and organization of the company's employees who have always been in touch and promptly resolved emerging issues, "added Yevgeny Bulatov, director of the Road Safety Center of the Vladimir Region. - The software installation and integration work was accompanied by a demonstration of all the main functions of the system and showed the stable operation of all SIMETRA software products. |
