2024: Building a technologically independent IT infrastructure based on PAC Skala^r
Gazprombank implements a large-scale project to build a technologically independent IT infrastructures on the basis of software and hardware systems (PAC). Skala^r Automated systems IT involved in critical and key systems will be transferred to the updated performance -landschaft. business processes bank This was reported on May 28, 2024 by Skala^r.
The development and testing of the target IT landscape on the Skala^r hardware and software complexes has already been completed. It is planned to migrate systems to an updated IT environment. It will take place in two stages. By 2025, 14 high-load automated systems of significant objects of critical information infrastructure will be transferred. By 2027 - more than 80 key banking systems. Thus, Gazprombank will fulfill all the necessary requirements for achieving technological sovereignty.
In building a trusted technologically independent IT infrastructure of the bank, the entire product stack of PAC (Machines) Skala^r is used. Each Skala^r Machine is responsible for solving its task: building a dynamic data center infrastructure and virtual desktops (Virtualization Machines), ensuring the operation of highly loaded databases (Database Machines), organizing parallel processing and distributed storage of structured data (Big Data Machines), building large-scale S3 storage (Data Storage Machines ). At the stage of testing the prototype of the target infrastructure, 15 Skala^r hardware and software systems were involved.
According to the company, the principle of dividing Skala^r Machines into standardized modules ensures the integration of heterogeneous components of the IT landscape into a single, easily scalable and managed platform. The use of unified components allows Gazprombank to redistribute their roles between different types of Skala^r Machines and flexibly rebuild the infrastructure when the load changes.
"After analyzing the Russian market, PAC we preferred Skala^r products, which have been mass-produced since 2015. The basis was a set of characteristics, a wide product line, as well as the level of maturity of PAC: reliability and performance are confirmed by experience in building critical infrastructures. Their use allows us to implement a sovereign IT infrastructure with the achievement of targets in the field of performance, reliability and availability of services, "said Maxim Klepikov, Deputy Head of the Information Technology Infrastructure Department of Gazprombank. |
"The transition to trusted technologically independent solutions is the primary and at the same time non-trivial task for organizations in different industries. The key idea of the approach to building an IT infrastructure at PAC Skala^r is to abandon the point replacement of individual systems in the current landscape in favor of creating a single managed IT environment. As a leader in digital transformation, Gazprombank is the first on the market to create a new infrastructure on Russian solutions in parallel with the existing foreign one, with the gradual transfer of load to it from old systems. The successful completion of the project has every chance to set architectural and technological standards, as well as become a reference example of solving complex infrastructure problems for the entire market, "said Viktor Urusov, CEO of Skala^r. |
