Inclusion in the register of Russian software

Sberbank's domestic integrated GigaIDE Desktop development environment will receive a functional update in the next release. Users will have a group of artificial intelligence (AI) agents to quickly solve a variety of tasks for servicing Java project code. This was announced on December 12, 2024 by Andrey Belevtsev, Senior Vice President, Head of the Technological Development Unit of Sberbank.

He also noted that GigaIDE Desktop passed the verification of the experts of the Ministry of Digital Development and was added to the register of Russian software.

GigaIDE Desktop allows you to develop in popular programming languages, provides compatibility with popular plugins and the usual user experience. The environment supports Java, Kotlin, Scala, Groovy, Python and multilingual projects using JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL and additionally includes 70 tools to facilitate development tasks, automate testing and administer applications. The AI assistant GigaCode integrated into it analyzes the context, offers complete constructions of functions, loops and other elements, which allows you to write code 25% faster.

The Russian GIGA IDE development environment with a built-in AI assistant has become available to developers. This was announced by Sber Tech on June 27, 2024.

GIGA IDE will be useful to a wide range of users - from professional developers to students and schoolchildren - and will become an affordable alternative to popular development environments that have left the Russian market.

GIGA IDE allows you to develop in popular programming languages, provides compatibility with popular plugins, as well as the usual user experience. The AI assistant GIGA CODE built into the environment analyzes the context, offers complete constructs of functions, loops and other elements, which allows writing code on average 25% faster.

The environment is available in two variants: GIGA IDE Desktop, which users can download on the GitVerse platform, and GIGA IDE Cloud, for which registration for early testing has opened.

GIGA IDE Desktop is an integrated development environment that supports Java, Kotlin, Scala, Groovy, Python and multilingual projects using JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, and also includes an additional 70 tools to facilitate development tasks, automate testing and administer applications.

GIGA IDE Cloud will allow development in the cloud, expanding the capabilities of the device with additional cloud resources. In addition, the environment will give users the ability to connect both from a web interface in a browser and as a local native application for remote development on any device. Early test participants who have registered on the platform page will be the first to access the cloud version of the development environment. The GIGA IDE Cloud is scheduled for public release in the fall of 2024.
