2024: Creation of a digital laboratory

Softline Group of Companies (PJSC Softline), together with the M.V. Lomonosov Arctic Federal University, organized a digital laboratory. It will become a platform for the development and testing of products and solutions in the field of digital transformation of logistics and industry, cybersecurity, video analytics and IoT technologies for the Arctic region. Softline announced this on July 2, 2024.

Softline Arctic (part of Softline Group of Companies) equipped the laboratory with Russian workstations of its own production, which installed software from the Softline Universe ecosystem and other domestic solutions for creating and modeling IT products.

The laboratory will conduct research and development in the priority areas of digitalization of the Northern Sea Route, port infrastructure and logistics chains through teachers, students, SAFU researchers and Softline experts. In addition, work will be carried out to create and improve industrial digital products and solutions for the "smart" city.

The creation of a digital laboratory is in line with Softline's strategy for the development of information technologies in the regions of the company's presence. In the future, joint developments will be replicated at enterprises of the Arctic zone and other constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The digital laboratory will also become a platform for holding events: presentations of Softline products and partner vendors, excursions, master classes.

Creating a joint laboratory with an IT company is a strategic step for us. Here our students will be able to master advanced technologies in practice and solve real production problems under the guidance of experienced teachers and Softline experts. We hope that the laboratory's developments will contribute to the digitalization of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, - commented Andrei Stanislavovich Buinovsky, director of the Digital Arctic IT park.
