2024: Implementation of "1C:MDM NSI Management" and "BIT Adapter"

The office of Sportivnaya IT integrator First Bit provided a single information space and compliance with data management standards for the Special Association Group of Companies. This was announced by "First Bit" on July 11, 2024.

Spetsobedinenie Group of Companies is a manufacturer and distributor of special clothing, shoes and personal protective equipment (PPE).

The specialists of the company "First Bit" introduced the solutions "1C:MDM Management of Regulatory Reference Information" and "BIT Adapter" into the work of the company, using the principles of flexible development of Agile and the Scrum framework, which are rarely used in such projects.

Prior to the implementation of the project, the management of the Special Association group of companies faced difficulties in systematizing business processes, which reduced the effectiveness of management decision-making.

The business units of the company, located in different regions, used local information systems, including "1C: ERP," "1C: Trade Management" and "1C: Integrated Automation."

There was a lack of a uniform approach to directory maintenance, which led to the fact that the same nomenclature in different branches could have different details. The company has accumulated a large number of takes and unused directories, which turned planning and reporting into a very difficult and time-consuming task.

The use of Agile flexible development principles and the Scrum framework has become a feature of the project. Agile's approach allowed us to respond quickly to changes in the requirements for the software product, as well as actively interact with the Client throughout the process. The Scrum framework, in turn, breaks down the work into short iterations called sprints, which provides phased incremental development for the possibility of an earlier delivery of a minimum viable product, "said Andrei Ilyenko, project manager of the First Bit IT integrator.

The second key aspect of the project is to create an integration solution on the thin client to automate the process of creating requests on the subscriber system side. Thanks to web services, the functionality allows users to create applications from subscriber bases on the 1C platform using a seamless login to the 1C: MDM configuration.

The procedure for creating and maintaining directories was centralized based on corporate standards and a single methodology, which simplified and accelerated the process of making decisions and making changes to the system.

Thus, users send requests for creating and adjusting reference items directly from their working environment, without switching between different applications or interfaces. NSI experts confirm the applications, which significantly increases the convenience and efficiency of work, as well as reduces the time for operations and minimizes the possibility of errors in data entry.

As a result, all data and processes for managing the NSI directories of the company group are brought to a single model. This made it possible to avoid duplication of information and provided the divisions of the group of companies with unified, up-to-date, complete and reliable data.

The 1C:MDM Regulatory Reference Management system provides the process of filling in and storing Barcodes (EAN-13, ITF-14) to facilitate product labeling and identification. The process of requesting and receiving GTIN codes for the "Fair Mark" mandatory marking system and loading the assigned codes into the "1C: MDM" system.

In addition to creating a single information space, the specialists of the First Bit automated the data processing process, increased the efficiency of related business processes and reduced the burden on personnel by 15%. This led to an acceleration in the receipt of operational reporting by 25%, a reduction in the likelihood of errors and data losses, as well as an improvement in the quality of business decisions made, "said Elena Kshimovskaya, head of the NSI department at Spetsobedinenie South-Zapad LLC.
