2024: Product Announcement

In the spring of 2024, the Moscow company Medplant, a resident of the Moscow Technopolice Special Economic Zone (SEZ), presented a portable electric aspirator for ambulance and resuscitation. The device passed all the necessary tests and was entered into the state register of medical devices, having received permission to use in Russia.

According to Vladislav Ovchinsky, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, the portable aspirator has become one of the main products of the company developed as part of research and development work, for which about 30 million rubles were allocated in 2023. Other innovative developments include a modernized version of a suitcase-styling for emergency doctors.

According to Ovchinsky, the aspirator is designed to quickly and efficiently sanitize the upper respiratory tract when a large amount of fluid or foreign bodies enter, and is also used in obstetrics and resuscitation. The device is capable of operating both from an external network, including an on-board network of vehicles, and from an internal power supply. The fundamental difference of the new device is the circuitry solutions that provide up to 45 minutes of battery life thanks to the energy-saving mode, for which a patent was obtained.

Among the main advantages of the new aspirator are its compact dimensions and lightweight design. The weight of the device is less than three kilograms with a performance of 17 liters per minute, which makes it unique on the Russian market. Pre-orders for the device have already arrived, including retail consumers. Mass equipment of ambulances, including in Moscow, is planned for the middle and end of 2024, - said Konstantin Nevsky, Deputy General Director of the company.
