2024: Agreement on cooperation in terms of import substitution of foreign shipbuilding and general machine building IT systems

Askon, an engineering software developer and IT integrator, and Zelenodolsk Design Bureau (PKB), one of the representatives of the shipbuilding industry in Russia, entered into a cooperation agreement. This was announced on August 15, 2024 by representatives of ASCON.

The document was signed by the general director of Zelenodolsky PKB Evgeny Zhirkov and the general director of ASCON Maxim Bogdanov. The agreement is aimed at the exchange of experience and the development of domestic digital solutions for the design and construction of ships. It is planned to work together to modernize and expand the functionality of existing and developed software solutions, as well as to develop methodological approaches and practices adopted in the industry.

The result of the cooperation will be the import substitution of foreign shipbuilding and general machine-building IT systems used by the Zelenodolsk PKB for the software of the ASCON and the Development consortium.

In Zelenodolsk PKB, the implementation of the Askon PLM complex continues, which includes the KOMPAS-3D design system, the engineering data and product lifecycle management system Pilot: PLM, the regulatory reference information management system Pauline: MDM. It is these software products that are at the heart of the Digital Shipbuilding Platform industry solution, which is being developed by ASCON.
