2024: Omnicom bought Interpublic
On December 9, 2024, the American advertising holding Omnicom Group announced the purchase of its competitor, Interpublic Group. As a result of the merger, the largest player with a total annual revenue of $25 billion and a capitalization of more than $30 billion will appear on the global advertising market.
The combined company will retain the Omnicom name. It will continue to be led by the current CEO of Omnicon, John Wren. Interpublic President and CEO Daryl Simm and Philipp Krakowski will serve as co-presidents and operating directors at Omnicom.[1]
