History
2022: Transfer of business in Russia to local managers after the outbreak of conflict in Ukraine
In March 2022, after the start of Russia's special operation in Ukraine, the Ketchum agency (part of the Omnicom Group holding) announced "withdrawal from the Russian market" - control over the company was returned to the co-founders and partners of the Moscow office, Mikhail Maslov and Sergei Chumin. 2014: Severing relations with the Russian government
In the 2000s and early 2010s, Ketchum Inc and its subsidiary GPlus Europe were one of the PR agencies used by the Russian government to create the benefits of working in partnership with Russia.
On December 12, 2014, the company announced the termination of its relations with the government of the Russian Federation.
2009: Takeover of German agency Pleon
On June 16, 2009, Ketchum announced a merger with Pleon, based in Düsseldorf in Germany and known in Europe as "Ketchum Pleon," and later renamed Ketchum.
1996: Joining Omnicom Group
In 1996, Ketchum merged with Omnicom Group. Campaign headquarters moved to New York City. The advertising division retained the Ketchum name and Pittsburgh headquarters until its merger with Earle Palmer Brown in 1999, which gave Omnicom exclusive rights to the Ketchum brand.

The company was founded on May 22, 1923 by George Ketchum in Pittsburgh (USA) as an advertising company that later became involved in public relations.
