2026: Moving daily banking to Max

Smart Engines has solved the problem of transferring daily banking to MAX. The company announced this on January 29, 2026. Now banks and financial organizations will be able to offer customers the most important services right in the messenger. All the user needs to do is point the camera of his device at the document or attach an image from the gallery. Author algorithms Smart Engines will find distinguish both printed and handwritten details.

Recognition in the messenger is implemented using WebAssembly technology. The module is built into browser PWAs and Internet bank widgets and ensures safe operation inside the messenger without the need to download, install and update third-party distributions. Unlike sending images through the messenger, the Smart Engines module works completely locally on the user's device. Transfer AI technology to the Max messenger for scanning text in photos and images

Smart Engines specialists have transferred artificial intelligence technologies to the MAX messenger for scanning text in photos and images. The development allows you to recognize printed and handwritten text in seconds, regardless of font, as well as read inscriptions and notes from any paper and electronic media. Smart Engines reported this on November 19, 2025.

The solution is built into the MAX widgets and works in the mobile, desktop and web versions of the messenger. Among the features of the technology are support for handwriting recognition, scanning in seconds and local work without connecting to the network and transferring data. With the help of the system, users can automate work with documents, digitize text for copying, searching, translation and editing, as well as fill electronic archives.

The technology is available for more than 100 languages of the world, including Latin, Cyrillic, Armenian and Greek alphabets, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and others. The high speed of the system is ensured by the use of ultralight 4.6-bit neural networks - the author's development of scientists Smart Engines. Full-text recognition is integrated into the MAX OCR module.

Earlier, Smart Engines adapted technologies for scanning passports, QR codes and bank cards to the Russian platform. The module works in mini-applications of MAX and other instant messengers, as well as on web pages. During recognition, the system does not send images outside the device, which protects personal data and confidential information from leakage.

Max OCR presentation for passport, QR codes, bank cards and documents recognition in Max messenger

Russian scientists presented a module based on AI passport recognition, QR codes bank cards and any documents in. messenger MAX Specialists Smart Engines adapted to algorithms computer vision work in the national messenger. Government agencies,,, banks Marketplaces booking and delivery services will be able to transfer MAX the usual functionality to their mini-applications on the platform without compromising convenience and security. Smart Engines announced this on July 31, 2025.

The MAX OCR module was created using WebAssembly technology and is seamlessly embedded in widgets. AI allows you to safely recognize printed and handwritten passports of the Russian Federation, accounts and other documents, scan payment QR codes, phone numbers, bank cards and check a person's face with a photo in a passport without removing biometrics.

The key quality of the system is complete autonomy: scanning occurs directly on the user's device, which eliminates the risk of data leakage during recognition. Thanks to the technology, the business will be able to safely transfer daily scripts to the messenger and avoid the risks associated with removing applications from the AppStore and other foreign stores.

The high performance of the AI module is achieved through the use of ultra-light 4.6-bit neural networks - the author's development of Smart Engines. They work 40% faster than classic 8-bit ones, do not use GPUs and provide high execution speed on low-power devices and in the browser.

MAX OCR accurately recognizes printed and handwritten passport data, including a registration page, even in low light and extreme shooting angles, reads partially cropped QR codes and any bank cards. When reconciling faces, AI does not emit biometrics and is resistant to gender, age, race, makeup.
