In the future, robots will come to residents of other areas: Yandex is developing this project together with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic of Tatarstan and the executive committee of Kazan. Kazan delivery robots are current models: they belong to the fourth generation, which Yandex introduced at the end of October 2025. They have an updated lidar that allows the robot to see the world in all details, a more powerful computing unit and another suspension - thanks to it, cross-country ability has increased. In addition, these are the first Yandex robots to be mass-produced. By the end of 2027, the company intends to produce a total of 20 thousand new generation delivery workers.

Delivery robots are capable of working in any weather, including fog, rain and snowfall. Lidar allows them to see 100 meters around and recognize their environment - including road signs and markings. Robots move along sidewalks at a pedestrian speed - an average of 4 km/h, and highways cross only along the "zebra," waiting for a traffic light to allow. Each robot has a glowing red flag - with it it is even more noticeable for drivers and pedestrians.

Compartment volume - 61 liter; robots are capable of transporting up to 25 kg of cargo. In new robots, the compartment can be divided by a partition - so they can deliver two orders in one flight. On a single charge, the robot travels up to 70 km.
