2024: Clothing output in Moscow increased by 22.5%
At the end of 2024, the index of industrial production of clothing in the capital amounted to 122.5 percent. Companies have increased the production of trousers, jackets, gloves, raincoats, hats and other wardrobe items. This was announced on February 24, 2025 by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin spoke about an increase in the index of industrial production of manufacturing industries by 17.8 percent in 2024.
Metropolitan clothing manufacturers create competitive goods and dynamically increase production volumes, which makes it possible to meet the growing consumer demand. Another metropolitan manufacturer "Snezhnost" specializes in sewing children's holiday dresses. The company is actively involved in urban projects, which allows you to develop the brand and increase awareness in the market.
The head of the company Marina Rublyova noted that high-quality materials are used in production. Models are hand-made and thoroughly tested. The factory designs its own patterns and runs fittings on multiple models to ensure a better fit.

Research conducted by Fashion Factory School and Fashion Consulting Group shows that Moscow leads in the number of fashion brands created in Russia, occupying 38% of the market. It is followed by St. Petersburg (17%) and Yekaterinburg (8%).
To support the enterprises of the fashion industry in Moscow, a number of financial instruments have been developed. Companies can receive a grant of up to ₽30 million for the purchase of equipment and up to ₽10 million for employee training. Grants of up to ₽5 million are also provided for the registration of inventions abroad and up to ₽75 000 for patenting in Russia.
A service center for creative industries operates in the capital, where entrepreneurs can receive advice on support measures and business development. In addition, there is an online platform "Materials Center," uniting about 500 manufacturers of fabrics and fittings from Russia and foreign countries.
The program "Made in Moscow" presents more than 5500 metropolitan brands, of which 940 specialize in the production of clothing, shoes and accessories. The products of these brands are available on the online portal of the same name, the largest marketplaces and in specialized stores in various areas of the capital.[1]
