White Paper: High Performance Computing (Global Market)

History

2024: Growth in the IT infrastructure market for high-load systems by 16.3% to 560 billion rubles

In 2024, the volume of the Russian IT infrastructure market for high-load information systems (IVNS) increased to 560 billion rubles. At the same time, the average annual growth theme from 2021 was recorded at 16.3%. This is stated in a joint study by the B1 group of companies and the analytical agency HeadWork Analytics, the results of which were published on February 28, 2025.

By IVNS, the authors of the report mean IT platforms capable of efficiently processing a large number of simultaneous requests and data in intensive use, ensuring stable operation and fault tolerance. Rubytech with a share of about 7%, as well as I-Teco and Jet Infosystems, are named the largest players in this market in the Russian Federation. Approximately 23% of the market is accounted for by independent suppliers of complex solutions for IVNS, another 23% - by captive companies.

The volume of the Russian IT infrastructure market for high-load systems for the year reached 560 billion rubles

Analysts highlight several key factors that ensure the sustainable development of the market. This is, in particular, high demand in the public sector and banking sector, which demonstrate significant rates of digitalization, and also continue to invest in IT infrastructure. There is an active transition to the cloud, which leads to the need for PaaS solutions (platform as a service) to build a dynamic, high-load cloud infrastructure. In addition, virtualization tools are in demand, which increases sales of specialized hardware and software systems (PAC).

Another market driver is increased regulation by the state. We are talking, in particular, about the policy of import substitution in critical information infrastructure (CII). The number of cyber attacks on Russian companies is growing, with more than half of them aimed at organizations whose activities are of strategic importance to the state. Therefore, enterprises are forced to invest in fault-tolerant solutions that guarantee data security and uninterrupted operation of key systems.

In the overall structure of IVNS, a significant part of sales falls on PAC: in 2024, revenue from the supply of such products reached 96 billion rubles, which corresponds to a share of 17%. By 2030, the authors of the study believe, sales of such solutions may rise to 287 billion rubles, while the average annual growth rate will be 20%. Their share in the total market volume will increase to 22%. Moreover, the share of Russian PAC in the total fleet may grow from 18% in 2024 to 45% in 2030 thanks to state support measures and an increase in confidence in domestic developments. The largest players in this segment are called "Skala^r," "Aerodisk," "Platform Botsman," etc.

Analysts explain the growing popularity of pre-configured PACs for several reasons. By integrating all the necessary components into a single platform, these solutions enable you to unify your IT infrastructure. As a result, greater reliability is achieved at lower total cost of ownership, including longer life. However, the supplier's responsiveness in terms of technical support and updates, as well as the rapid response to changes, taking into account the needs of the business and technological conditions, is important to ensure the effective operation of the PAC.

The authors of the study believe that in the future the Russian IVNS market will demonstrate an average annual growth of 15%. Thus, by 2030 its volume may increase to about 1.3 trillion rubles.[1]
