2023: How artificial intelligence improves operational efficiency

On June 13, 2022, GE Healthcare unveiled the Allia operating table for minimally invasive surgery using artificial intelligence-based imaging. 2016: Getinge and GE Healthcare Joint Project
On August 25, 2016, the American medical device manufacturer GE Healthcare and the Swedish company Getinge Group, known for developing various devices for healthcare and biological sciences, presented an angiographic integrated solution for hybrid operating rooms.
The joint development consists in combining the Magnus operating table (developed by Getinge's subsidiary, the German company Maquet) with the GE Discovery IGS 730 angiograph. Thanks to this combination, hospitals will be able to expand the range of surgical procedures and optimize the use of hybrid operating rooms.
The joint project between Getinge and GE Healthcare was first announced at the Society for Vascular Surgery 2016 Vascular Annual Meeting, which was held in Washington from June 9 to 11.
Hybrid operating rooms have become the standard of care for medical centers in the United States, as these multidisciplinary and multifunctional rooms have proven their ability to improve the clinical outcomes of cardiovascular and other patients, says Mark Rider, vice president of marketing in the Americas at Getinge Surgical Workflows. - With the release of this new integrated solution combining the Magnus operating table (the centerpiece of hybrid operating rooms) with GE's angiographic system, hospitals across the country will be able to provide the best care to their patients who need a variety of surgical interventions.[1] |
