2024: Certification on the availability of online services for people with disabilities

The Perekrestok retail chain received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the set of rules "Accessibility of websites and applications for people with disabilities." This certificate was issued following several stages of accessibility verification by the inclusive social project Everland as part of the social program of the Affordable Environment trading network. X5 Group announced this on June 11, 2024.

The Affordable Environment program was initiated by the Perekrestok retail chain in 2021 and is a set of system solutions to improve conditions for buyers with disabilities. As part of this initiative, the company is introducing measures to improve the level of convenience for customers with special needs. In 2023, the social inclusive project Everland assessed the availability of Perekrestka online services - a mobile application and website. Following the recommendations received from blind experts from Everland, by the end of 2023, Perekrestok became the leader among retail companies in terms of accessibility for customers with impaired vision and motor skills. In 2024, according to the results of the second stage of the audit, the retail network was certified and received confirmation of the availability and usability of the website and mobile application on Android and iOS platforms.

Such certificates oblige to maintain the state of the work performed by the services in accordance with the specified standard. Compliance control will be carried out by the body of the voluntary certification system registered by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology.
