2025: The volume of the Russian market for injectable cosmetology for the year increased by 34% to 59 billion rubles

At the end of 2025, the segment of injectable cosmetology in Russia showed growth: the market volume amounted to 59 billion rubles, the number of procedures reached 11.5 million, which is 32% more in physical terms and 34% more in monetary terms compared to 2024. In 2023, the cash growth indicator in this segment was lower and amounted to 21%.

According to RNC Pharma, by the end of 2025, hyaluronic acid drugs dominate the biorevitalizant segment. Their share was 62% in monetary terms and 59% in kind (in packages). However, sales dynamics in this category is inferior to the average group indicators: growth in rubles was recorded at 38%, in the number of packages - 19%.

The Russian market for injectable cosmetology increased by 34% over the year, its volume amounted to 59 billion rubles

However, the gradual decline in consumer interest in pure hyaluronic acid products is transforming the injectable cosmetology market. The Right to Health company noted that the share of products containing alternative active ingredients (collagen, polydeoxyribonucleotides, succinic and polylactic acids) is increasing in the biorevitalization segment.

Olga Goncharova, Executive Director of the Right to Health Company, notes that the key feature of the Russian market for cosmetic injections remains a consistently high demand. However, the main challenge for the industry, she said, is the presence of a large shadow segment.

According to the Right to Health, in 2024, only 56% of botulin therapy procedures were performed in licensed clinics. The rest of the injections were performed in beauty salons and private offices that did not have the legal right to provide such services. In the field of biorevitalization and contour plastics, the share of "gray" procedures, according to data provided by the company, amounted to 46% (or 54% of legal).[1]

The most popular injectable cosmetology services in Russia: botulinum therapy, biorevitalization, contour plastic

The Russian market for injectable cosmetology demonstrates a clear structure of consumer preferences, where botulin therapy, biorevitalization and contour plastic occupy the leading positions. Analysis of the popularity of different types of aesthetic procedures shows the concentration of demand in three main areas, which make up almost 70% of the entire segment of injection services. This is evidenced by the data of the analytical company "GuideMarket," published in August 2025.

According to the researchers, the structure of the Russian market for injectable cosmetology is characterized by the dominance of botulin therapy, which occupies 29.7% of the total volume of services. This procedure is based on the use of botulinum toxin to relax facial facial muscles, which ensures effective elimination of age and facial lines. The popularity of botulinum therapy is explained by its versatility and use not only for aesthetic, but also for medical purposes.

The second place in the popularity rating is occupied by biorevitalization with a market share of 28.3%. The procedure is the introduction of preparations based on hyaluronic acid and a complex of active components into the dermal layers of the skin. Biorevitalization is aimed at deep moistening of the skin, restoring their elasticity and improving the overall tone. The technique allows you to significantly improve the quality of the skin and give it a healthy appearance.

Contour plastic closes the top three with an indicator of 11.4% of the market. This technology allows you to restore lost tissue volumes and correct the anatomical features of the face. Most commonly, contoured plastic is used to enlarge the lips, correct the zygomatic areas, eliminate nasolabial folds, and model the chin area. The high efficiency of the procedure ensures a stable consumer interest.[2]

Chinese analogue of Botox entered the Russian cosmetology market

In early July 2024, Binnopharm Group announced sales of a Chinese analogue of Botox called Lantox. To do this, the company bought the rights to sell the drug in Russia back in 2023. Read more here.

The volume of the Russian market for injectable cosmetology for the year increased by 21% to ₽44 billion

The volume of the Russian market for injectable cosmetology in 2024 increased by 21% and reached ₽44 billion. Such data in March 2025 leads the analytical company "Right to Health." During this period, 8.7 million injection procedures were performed in Russia, including injections with Botox and various botulinum toxins, which is 34% more than in 2023.

According to Forbes, citing the forecast of the same analytical company, in 2025-2026, further growth of this segment is expected by 15-20% annually. In terms of the global medical cosmetology industry, the growth dynamics of the Russian market is much higher. According to Zion Market Research, the average annual growth rate worldwide until 2030 will be 4.5% annually, and the projected volume by the end of the decade will reach $72.33 billion.

Within the biorevitalization segment, collagen-based drugs were of particular interest in 2024. According to Binnopharm, the total consumption of biorevitalizants in the Russian Federation increased by 11% to 17.4 billion rubles, while the collagen market increased by 75%, reaching almost 2.7 billion rubles.

Simultaneously with injection methods, the popularity of hardware procedures is growing. According to Kommersant, their number in 2024 reached 16.5 million, which is 63% more than a year earlier. According to Lyalia Sadykova, President of the Association of Beauty Enterprises and Professionals, clients prefer laser, ultrasound, radio-frequency lifting and other hardware techniques instead of injections.

The volume of the injectable cosmetology market in Russia grew by 21% over the year and reached ₽44 billion

Lyaglia Sadykova, President of the Association of Beauty Enterprises and Professionals, confirms analysts' optimistic forecasts, but points to existing risks for the industry. These include an increase in the cost of drugs and equipment due to sanctions and logistical difficulties, a possible tightening of licensing, certification and control requirements, as well as a growing personnel shortage.

According to Sadykova, the growth of the Russian market is associated with a change in the model of consumer behavior - Botox injections began to be perceived as an element of regular self-care. In addition, a new group of clients has formed who are preemptively struggling with aging.

Olga Goncharova, Executive Director of Rights to Health, calls demand stability a feature of the Russian market for cosmetic injections. However, the gray segment presents a serious problem: according to the company, in 2024, only 56% of botulin therapy services were carried out in clinics or departments of aesthetic medicine with the necessary licenses. The remaining part was accounted for by beauty salons and private offices that did not have appropriate permits. For biorevitalization and contour plastics, this figure was 54%.[3]

2023

Growth in sales of cosmetic injections by 8.2% to 18.8 billion rubles

In 2023, the volume of the Russian market for drugs for injectable cosmetology reached 18.8 billion rubles. The growth in relation to 2022 was 8.2%. The corresponding data are reflected in the study of the GuideMarket company, the results of which were published on June 13, 2024.

The review addresses agents such as contour fillers, injectable biorevitalizers, mesopreparations, and botulinum toxins. At the same time, an analysis of only the legal segment of the market was carried out. It is noted that injectable cosmetology allows you to improve the general condition of the skin, increase its tone and elasticity. It provides the opportunity to correct age changes, change the volume of the lips, restore the oval and contours of the face, etc.

According to estimates, in 2019, sales of cosmetic injections amounted to approximately 14.7 billion rubles. In 2020, there was a sharp decline: the market volume decreased by 29.8% - to 10.3 billion rubles. Against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic and self-isolation, people refused to visit cosmetology clinics and offices, fearing infection. Due to the spread of the coronavirus, the solvency of the population has also decreased.

In 2021, the market began to recover: its volume reached 14.2 billion rubles, and the increase was 37.2%. This growth was due to both positive import dynamics and an increase in Russian production. In 2022, an increase of 22.7% was recorded with a final result of 17.4 billion rubles. It is said that in general, there are no difficulties with the supply of consumables and drugs against the background of a deteriorating geopolitical situation. The market has been rebuilt - new supply chains have been formed. But rising prices for services and drugs are having a negative impact on the industry.[4]
