Footwear

The versatile shoe is a leather boot with a high bead and membrane. Additionally, you can buy tracking shoes made of textiles with a medium-high berz and sneakers/half-boots in any sports store. Depending on the season in everyday life, rubber boots, hammocks or chuni shoe covers may be relevant.

Clothes

SIBZ

As mentioned earlier, not everyone will be lucky to get personal protective equipment in an acceptable form or get some of them at all. There is a lot of room for creativity and spending large sums, but do not forget about the principle of expediency.

SIBZ is assigned by us to the section on service, that is, the performance of routine activities in the combat zone (squads, duty, arrangement of positions, etc.). The modern war, with its precise and long-range means of defeat, dictates to us the rule that it is better to live in means of defense, and not just go to battle.

Head

The helmet is mandatory for protection against fragments: both primary and secondary. The latter include stones, glass and everything else that flew into you with a shock wave. They exist in two classes of protection: BR1 (lighter) and BR2 (heavier), come from aramid or SVMP (take what you have). Helmets are full-ear and earless. The latter are needed for use with active headphones, but the former are preferable. To use with headphones, you just need to take a size larger.

Optimal options will be 6B7-1M/6B47 or more expensive analogues from ATLAS, NPP ClASS and Omnitek. The presence of fasteners is optional. You can study different suspended systems and, if necessary, replace your native with a more advanced one. Ballistic glasses are also needed to protect the eyes.

Torso and the rest

If you decide (or had to) buy everything in parts, then you will probably be faced with the fact that something will not be available. It is advised to follow the following algorithm:

1. We are looking for armored plates of class at least BR4 (5A), but we keep in mind that BR5 (6A) is desirable. They can be ceramic or steel. The former are easier and harder to fake. They either do not require a ballistic package, or require it only on one side (on the inside), and are even more anatomical. Steel requires a ballistic bag on both sides (both external and internal) and it needs a collar. The form factor should be similar to Granite plates: this will give greater compatibility with different cases.

2. We are looking for a cover, there are two categories:

a) Plate-bearer - a platform, the area of ​ ​ which approximately corresponds to the area of ​ ​ the plate (protection of vital organs), does not give an additional area of ​ ​ protection (from fragments) or gives very small. When adding modules, the tile is brought to the category of body armor (cover + corset/camerband + ballistic package + CAP + modules).

b) Body armor is a finished product that provides the required area of ​ ​ protection, including from fragments, due to the area of ​ ​ an aramid cloth cover, but to a lesser extent corresponds to the principle of modularity.

The use of a platen carrier involves knowledge and understanding of the tasks, so for most it will be preferable to a bulletproof vest, which the manufacturer has already configured for combined arms combat for you.

As a reference point, it is better to consider a 6B45 body armor (three sizes) with plates on the chest and back according to class BR4 (there will be an inscription "5A" or "for a body armor" 6B45 "). This is the best averaged option for price/protection/availability reasons. Remember that it will be excellent if it is possible to replace the plates with BR5 (6A), for example, from a bulletproof vest 6B43 or any other of the same form factors and the same class. It's great if you manage to get a set of 6B45-1 for this bulletproof vest: it includes armored plates on the groin, lower back, sides and shoulder pads. Of the alternatives to 6B45, one can consider an older 6B43 or, as a last resort, 6B23/6B12.

When buying, you should pay attention to the presence and condition of CAPs (climatic and shock-absorbing supports), slings, fastexes and velcro. The worn case will immediately be visible by the degree of its greasy and rubbing at the collar.

The year of production of the bulletproof vest, in turn, also affects its condition: Kevlaru/Aramid age is not a plus. Since 2018, fabric with IR remission has been used - it will glow less in the night sight. Since 2020, slings have been made in the color of basic camouflage.

In addition to a bulletproof vest, you will need pouches, a combat belt, an RPS (belt and shoulder system of the SSO SMERSH type) or an unloading vest (6Sh117 is good).

The main platform for finding SIBZ is not only Avito, for some rare things it will be useful to look at the Hansa. Military traders, labazas and flea markets also exist on the territory of the LPR and DPR. In general, prices are lower there, but the market is smaller, so all the most worthwhile is bought up very quickly. A lot of captured equipment: body armor with slabs from TYeMP3000, helmets, MOLLE systems - everything stands in a divine way. However, when choosing, you need to be attentive to their general state.

When selecting and using equipment, it is necessary to follow the rule on echelon. Everything you wear is divided into several echelons, which are usually four:

The first echelon is all that is in the pockets of clothing. This is the basic echelon, which includes the most necessary means for survival, such as: lighter, knife, tourniquet, first aid kit, etc.

The second echelon is part of the things that are on the battle belt or on the RPS.

The third echelon is most often an unloading vest, although in the absence of a combat belt, unloading can act as a second echelon.

The fourth echelon is a raid or assault backpack.

Communication

Unfortunately, for 2022, the circumstances are such that it will also be better to take care of it yourself. We take into account only portable radio stations.

You need a digital or analog radio station (it is better to take those that can work in both modes, or exactly analog). It is pointless to take closed digital stations, it is rational only when you know exactly which communication loop other subscribers will work in.

Take any dual-band radio station (VHF and UHF). These are the most common frequencies on earth that you will meet (there are also air, sea and river frequencies). You will be in touch with both militias who use LPD/PMR soapboxes, and paratroopers who have Baofeng flaunting next to Azart, and a private trader who uses the once fashionable Yeasu VX-6R - in general, with almost everyone who is also not provided with normal communication.

If you don't understand anything at all, just take a pair of Baofeng UV-5R or equivalent in a waterproof, durable case. It is desirable that the analogue has direct input of frequencies: then you can type the desired frequency directly on the keyboard without prior programming. Do not chase power - 5 watts is enough. In addition, buy one or two dual-band antennas, each on its own range.

The telephone on the combat contact line ("ribbon," LBS) is a discussion topic. Essentially speaking, both tapiki dialers and smartphones are pointing around while they have a mobile antenna and a GPS tracker, so it is more correct not to take either one or the other for the "tape." But at the same time, you need to understand that there are a lot of them there.

If you do take it, then it should be a clean "working" smartphone on Android with a ballistic calculator and an artillery notebook, as well as pre-installed offline maps with coordinate grids along the Gaussian and ordinary with degrees. A SIM card should not be inserted into it, it will not be superfluous to buy a cover that screens the signal.

Surveillance means

It's more than likely that, as with so many others, you won't get PNV and thermal imagers across the state. The main message remains the same as in the previous section: all of this should be acquired only for tasks.
