2021: Approval of the new composition
On December 23, 2021, at the annual meeting of Ozon shareholders, the updated composition of the company's board of directors was approved. Nilesh Lakhani joined him as an independent director, replacing Princeville Capital managing partner Emmanuel DeSouza.
By the end of December 2021, Nilesh Lakhani is chairman of the board of directors of Despegar travel company. In the past, he also served on the board of directors of Qiwi (2013-2014) and was the financial director of Yandex (2007-2010).
This is the only change in the board of directors of Ozon - the rest of the members were re-elected. By the end of December 2021, the composition includes:
- two representatives of Baring Vostok - senior partner of the foundation Elena Ivashentseva and partner Dmitry Kamensky;
- two representatives of AFK Sistema - the head of the corporation Vladimir Chirakhov and managing partner Alexei Katkov;
- UFG Asset Management Managing Partner Charles Ryan;
- Ozon CEO Alexander Shulgin;
- SoftBank Investment Advisors (SoftBank Vision Fund) investment partner Lydia Jett;
- Peter Sirota, head of the American mapping service Mapbox;
- Nilesh Lakhani.[1]
Jett has been an investment partner of SoftBank Investment Advisors since 2015, in the field of its activities - investments in e-commerce, consumer Internet, fintech, robotics. The SoftBank Vision Fund portfolio includes, in particular, the coworking project WeWork, taxi services DiDi and Uber, the Slack messenger, etc.
Ozon's parent structure is Cyprus-based Ozon Holdings. Through the Russian Ozone Holding, she owns six Russian companies: Ozone Volga, Internet Logistics, Internet Solutions, Ozone Technologies, O-Courier and Ozone Invest. Ozon Holdibngs also owns Cyprus-based Davco Management, which owns Ozone Tour through the Russian company Internet Travel.
