The number of Russian citizens living in Turkey decreased to 85.7 thousand people in 2024, while in 2023 their number was 102.5 thousand. According to the TÜİK State Statistical Office of Turkey, published in February 2025, the decrease in the number of Russians in the country reflects the general dynamics of migration processes.
According to TASS, the decrease in the number of Russians is due to rising prices and tightening the conditions for issuing a residence permit. Among Russians living in Turkey, 37.5 thousand are men and 48.1 thousand are women.
