In 2024, the Russian Post plans to open 5 logistics centers in Khabarovsk, Krasnodar, Ufa, Chelyabinsk and Voronezh. In order to achieve this, the Russian Post plans to build a partnership with industry aggregator sites and specialized marketplaces on which pharmacies form orders from manufacturers of pharmacy products. Such interaction will significantly expand the range of pharmacy points, especially in remote settlements, speed up the movement of the necessary drugs from the manufacturer and distributor to the end point, as well as save on logistics and reduce costs within the distribution chain by 25%.

The Post noted that at the end of May 2020, we are talking about delivery to the pharmacy. In the future, the Russian Post is working on the function of contactless courier delivery of medicines from the pharmacy to the final buyer.

In partnership with industry aggregator sites and marketplaces, Russian Post will be responsible for logistics and operations with goods, including delivery to the pharmacy, and platform solutions will provide information exchange between pharmacies, distributors, pharmaceutical companies and warehouses of Russian Post. The Russian Post will also ensure compliance with the packaging requirements, including tightness, in accordance with the Rules of Good Practice for the Storage and Transportation of Medicinal Products for Human Use. The strategy for implementing the direction involves three stages. The first stage is logistics testing to pharmacies for goods that do not require special storage and transportation conditions. 2018: Launch of logistics center in Kazan
