2025: PLM IT Polygon Opening Plan
In the Altai Territory, an IT polygon of PLM-solutions will appear ASCON for the digitalization of mechanical engineering.
On August 28, 2025, the Altai State Technical University named after I.I. Polzunova, ASCON and the Altai regional branch of the Interregional Union "Club of Young Industrialists" announced the start of a new stage in the digitalization of industrial enterprises in the region.
Enterprises will be able to get acquainted with current developments in the field of digital design, virtual tests, product lifecycle management and work out their own engineering tasks in the digital environment. The PLM solution will include a KOMPAS-3D system with applications for engineering calculations, aerohydrodynamics analysis and geometric optimization, engineering data management system PILOT: PLM, process design system VERTICAL, regulatory reference information management system POLINOM: MDM. The IT training ground will also become a platform for student internships and practices at the participating enterprises of the Young Industrialists Club.
The initiative is enshrined in a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by the rector of AltSTU Andrei Markov, the head of the Altai regional branch of the MS "Club of Young Industrialists" Artem Shamkov and the director of strategic marketing in mechanical engineering ASCON Pavel Shcherbinin.
The second major area of cooperation is the training of engineering and scientific and pedagogical personnel for the Altai Territory. ASCON organizes courses for AltSTU teachers on working with PLM-solution software products. During 2025-2026, it is planned to update and develop educational programs in engineering specialties with a focus on digital technologies. The integration of software into the educational process will be carried out by the ASCON Software Competence Center. Its tasks will include technical and methodological support for the use of software.
