Group of 2 KOM - the telecommunication holding working at the market since 1992 and providing all range of telecommunication services. The main activity of Group of 2 KOM – deployment of networks of broadband access in Moscow and the Moscow region on FTTB technologies and providing on their basis of a full range of telecommunication services for the population of the city, the government and commercial structures. The group of 2 KOM owns a transport network based on fiber lines of communication with capacity of 10-100 Gbps.

• Company of 2 KOM LLC is the licensed telecom operator providing data services and telematic services (the organization of Internet access);
• Setel LLC is the licensed telecom operator providing services of telephony, lease of allocate circuits and high-speed Internet access based on own fiber-optical network.

Negotiations between MegaFon company and the capital telecom operator "2 KOhm" concerning acquisition of assets of the last with MegaFon came to the end. The parties did not reach agreement. According to representatives "2 KOhm", the transaction did not take place because of disagreements in asset cost questions "2 KOhm". In general we will note that large Russian telecom operators rather actively conduct recently the activity in the field of acquisition of assets both in the capital market and in the markets regional.

As representatives of the company "2 KOhm" reported, negotiations with MegaFon began even in the spring of the current year. Within preparation for the transaction due diligence of the company "2 KOhm" was carried out and also permission of FAS to acquisition is issued. However, did not reach the conclusion of the transaction.

"We did not agree with MegaFon about the price as negotiations began in April, and then was frame value assessments of our company are carried out. Then it was talked of $25 million. However, lately we did not stop development of the company, and on the contrary, considerably increased a subscriber base and the territory of a scope of network. Being guided by the last transactions in Moscow, we consider that the fair price of assets of our company is not less than $38-40 million", - the CEO of group "2 KOhm" Alexander Henkin says.

As representatives of the company "2 KOhm", during the time which passed since the beginning of negotiations with MegaFon explained, "2 KOhm" began to render services in five districts of Moscow, new to himself, and about 800 houses were connected to network of the operator. In total today network "2 KOhm" is developed in 70 districts of Moscow and the Moscow region. About 8 thousand houses in which more than 1.2 million apartments are covered are connected to network of the operator. Recently "2 KOhm" signed the hundred-thousandth subscriber agreement.

At the moment, according to the operator guide "2 KOhm", negotiations with MegaFon are completed and there are no premises to their resuming yet. If to speak about interest to assets "2 KOhm" from other large operators, then the management "2 KOhm" considers other offers, but at present negotiations on sale are not conducted. At the same time, operator "2 KOhm" does not exclude a possibility of increase in the subscriber base including due to acquisition of assets of less large operators.

In general we will note that large Russian telecom operators rather actively conduct recently the activity in the field of acquisition of assets both in the capital market and in the markets regional. If to speak directly about MegaFon company, then to enter the market of the fixed broadband Internet access, digital television and the IP telephony in Moscow and a number of regions of Central Federal District MegaFon was allowed by purchase of assets of the large capital operator NetByNet who had assets in regions.

The deal on acquisition of assets of NetByNet group was closed in the summer of 2011. Transaction amount was about $270 million, and its structure assumes conditions under which the volume of payments will depend on financial results of the company in 2011.

If to speak about enlargement of the market of operators of wire broadband access in Moscow in general, then from acquisitions which happened in the current year it is also possible to note that joint Rostelecom considerably strengthened the positions in the ShPD market in the Moscow region due to acquisition of assets of National Cable Networks (NCN) operator who provides services under the OnLime brand in the market of Moscow.
